Harvest minus how many weeks for worthwhile trim on a 7 week photoperiod Indica?

Hiya guys, I just wondered if anyone out there has worked out a rule of thumb period, where taking the trim before full harvest (lower stuff mainly), doesn't reduce the overall yeild too much?

As strains vary, I'm basing my question on a seven week photoperiod indicia.

Any thoughts appreciated, and yes, I'm guilty of pre-harvest pruning.

If you mean chop and dry a bit of bud a week before chop so you have something to vape/smoke while you're trimming (noting worse than having no smokable bud while doing this!) then I would say no, nothing that would be noticeable if its no more than 6-7g removed.

I'll follow that rule of thumb, as harvest should last us till 2020.
