from what i understand a good cure is vital to breakdown excess chlorophyl from the plant matter and this takes time, chlorophyl isnt good for you to smoke apparently, so curing isnt just to make your buds taste good or get you high. there other reasons why a good cure is important but im so headfucked right now i cant think of anymore.

boons? water curing, i wouldnt do it. your dry weight is less, the taste is virtually non existent but it is smooth to smoke, probably cos you cant taste it! for me taste is everything in my weed, so anything that takes that away is defeting the object as far as im concerned.

Maryjanedoe, how does your pump thing work? Can you explain?
I actually found the site on one of these threads to get it online. It looks just like a bike tire pump but smaller, then you get a canning jar and poke a hole in the lid, a little thumb tack comes with it. It also comes with these little sticky tabs and you put it over the hole, then the pump sucks to the lid and you pump, and pump until you get some tension on it. Pull it off the lid and Ta dah no air.It also has a tube for sucking the air from bags too. It's great and it was cheap. The box says Pioneering concepts. It's called Pump and seal. You can reuse those tabs as many times as you like so I went for it. I think it was under 20 bucks. It's worth the money. Oh and I use all my grandma's dark blue Ball canning jars for curing and storage. Their too old to use for canning anymore so I put them to good use, Grandma would be proud! I went and found the link check it out

yea i saw something like those pump and seal things on qvc or some other shopping channel, they were like tupperware boxes with vacuum pumps in the lids and and a button vacuum release valve, they even had little calendar dials on them so you can set the date you put whatever in it! quality! you seen them big ziplock bags with a big one way valve on them for attaching your hoover pipe onto and sucking all the air out? great for curing large amounts!! saw them on tv, they made 4 pillows suck down to a bit bigger than a bag of crisps!!!

Is this a mistake in paragraph 5 of the GrowFAQs excerpt that was quoted "the plants should be ready for manicuring in 3-4 weeks", Shouldn't that read "3-4 Days"?:peace:
