They were my go to bank back in the day, were always legit. But haven't used them in a long time. I use The Attitude now.

I used them in the past but then reports starting coming in that they (Gypsy) was breeding his own seeds and selling them as other breeders...... so I just stopped ordering from there. Either Attitude or Sannies are your best choices......

really? I know they have their own strains but swaping them for other breeders seeds I always thought they where one of the more reputable seed banks and I'm pretty sure they run icmag.com. how many people said they had that problem? and how did they know where the breeder packs opened or just in baggies like nirvana does?

That's what i'm primarily worried about... them sending me seeds that are not authentic. I don't trust gypsy, but for all i know he doesn't even have anything to do with day to day operations.

Like I said in the journal that I posted above, I've ordered from Seedboutique/seedsdirect for 10 years now and I've always received my beans in the breeders pack. I've personally never heard of any cases where someone received 'swapped out beans' and I'd certainly like to see some links to people making that statement.

I just remember reading a number of reports from "quality breeders" that Gypsy was selling their beans and there was NO WAY POSSIBLE they were legit. Then other customers piped in basically lodging the same complaints-"not original beans". I still read and hear good things too though. I just wanted to be 110% sure I was getting original beans and not knockoffs..........

Do some google and bing searches about Gypsy Nirvana seeds complaints and I'm sure you'll come across them......

That gives me a bit of confidence :) Which breeders have you got through them?
Soma, Nirvana, Serious Seeds, Dinafem, House of Love, BOG, Spice of Life, and Mandala. I may be leaving one or two out. Breeders like Serious Seeds includes a number in their seed pack so if you have issues with their beans, simply contact one of the SS guys over at IC, have your seed pack number ready and they'll take care of you.

I'm not saying it's not possible for any seedbank to swap out seeds but what would they be doing with all the 'originals'? A seedbank could stock ten lifetimes worth of seeds, who would they be hording those thousands and thousands and thousands of seeds for? From a business perspective, it makes no sense to screw their customers like that and the fact that Gypsy has been around for as long as he has should mean something.

I don't recall all the breeders I got but from what I remember, Paradise Seeds, Serious Seeds, and Flying Dutchmen to name a few. All in original breeders packs. As I said before I haven't used them in a while, but they were legit when I did. I doubt they would still be in business after all these years if they weren't legit. As the poster above mentioned.
