Hey bud, Just thought I would mention I do the same thing, when people have questions about growing in small places I refer them to your journals.
Looks like ya got a couple outdoors, That first pic looks sativa dominate and my guess is that its gonna finish late.

That isn't a dry creek bed ya got her in is it? Cause if it is and its a sativa she may get flooded before she finishes.

Yeah, she is very sativa, but finishes in 10-12 weeks. I like the buzz anywhere in between. It is a KC Brains TNR, I think!!! No, shes not in a dried creek, shes buy an old scrub oak and a couple other fallen over ones. Shes guerilla, so I know theres always a risk of some sort.

Here is the super skunk reveg today, looks very sexy. I am gonna take a clone soon, but I just have to make a place.

But the shit looks like it will work to me!!!!! you were 4 seconds off from having the video 4:20... I got a joint... you got 4 minutes?!?!?! hahaha now that you know your new setup isn't leaking, will you implement it right away?

Hey gumball, watched your video. If you wanted some way for the pipe to sit over your reservoir could you cut a sort of cradle for it to fit into? Like make half circle cuts into the res and allow the pipe to sit in it? You'd probably need to either glue it in place or add something on the sides to stabilize it, but might be able to reduce your footprint some without increasing the height above your limit.

IMPLEMENTED, GUMBALL IS HYDRO :D Of what form I dont know (NFT, Ebb&Flo, EbbFT, NFFlow, LOL!!) I have it running twice a day for 11 minutes. Its low pressure, but I will monitor it. Thats cool about 4:20, didnt even notice it!!!

Well I would have liked for the pipe to sit in a cradle like you mentioned. But the Plant tube in my cabinet would have to be raised 2 more inches, effectively cutting my growing height by that much. I only have like 12 inches of grow height anyhow after container and everything. Realestate is priceless in my area.

Here is a couple of pics from today. From left to right Northern Lights Auto showed sex 7 weeks ago, I stunted it somehow (I am a plant killer on the side, LOL), DarkStar seedling on the vent up front which I am gonna grow out 6 to 7 nodes, and top then clone top for flower, and hope for a male for pollen for good friend, TNR showed sex 2.5 weeks ago, royal kush showed sex 1 week ago, and another royal kush I cloned that was too big and a lot of it is fucked up. I need it as a filler though to get my cycle back inline so I will veg a week or 2 more and put it in flower when the northern lights come down! I have another RK clone in veg cabinet too, and I need to take another soon to fill some gaps. stash can is running LOW!

You can see all my thermometers in the first pic. I figure radian temps are about 86 right under lights, and 80 is actual air temp. The 3000k CMH bulb was very intense with radiant heat, and I think it may have been causing problems. Leaves were praying with it on, turned it off and church was dismissed. no more prayer. anyone have a 100 watt pulse start ballast and want a 25 dollar bulb??? I know, who else runs 100 watts to grow, LOL! The 40 bulb I got from Lowes is 68 lumens per watt, so it has great efficacy, and seems to be doing well in my cab. Concord Dawn or anyone else, you may want to look at this bulb. its a sylvannia and is 10 bucks at lowes. it is very cool, and the glass tubes have plastic grips to keep it from coming loose from the ballast.

Peace people

Right on Gumball, I like your idea, the peat should wick the water up and the perlite should keep it from getting too saturated. Maybe you should fill a cup with the mix but not put a plant in it so you can find out for your self how often to water. I haven't used peat before but I have read it is very acidic Like pH 4.5 so keep an eye on the pH. Agreed, I don't think you need an air stone either.

Happy 4'th man.

Thank you cruzer, I really appreciate your feedback, as you heard you were part of the inspiration. I have heard the same about peat, but it also has a touch of lime in it, and so far so good. I tried to ph the run off at first, too fucking dirty. I have to buy a meter the test solution needs some assistance.

I thought of filling the cup too to see about the watering frequency, but they are damn light saturated or not. I will try it right now anyhow, as I have a cup already filled and dry from a clone that didnt take!!

I did add an airstone, but I am receiving more feedback that I should be able to run more frequently, like 10 or 11 hours of the light cycle in various increments, which would keep the water even more oxygenated.

Again, thank you for your feedback cruzer101!

If the cups are too light to tell by hand could you weigh them on your scale to see how much water they're holding?

I did actually. Bone dry is .20 lb. Dark star I just watered yesterday was .30 or .35 lb. My flowering plants in the flooding system were .45 and .49 lb, I assume the extra weight of the plant and roots are the reason for the heavy weight because they do not appear overwatered, yet. So these are some basis numbers for me to look back at to.

Wo0t! Your medium mix is similar to mine √√ I used just plain soil for a while, then changed to just straight perlite. My plants seem to love just perlite in my DWC, I'm sure you're setup will work great! I'd leave the levels at the 1/8th inch you had them, just cuz I feel like they could benefit from the extra nutes. For some reason I'm in retard mode and can't word everything to be easily understood. Lol Anyway, I bet you can't wait to get it going! What kind of nutes will you be using?

You sound like one of my friends √√

edit: I'll keep an eye out for a 100w ballast, if I find one I'll take that bulb from you.
