Im thinking about getting a GL60 that will go in a closet, I would love some expercenced opinions! I was just wondering what my options are. I have a 400WHPS for Flowering and im thinking of getting CFL's for Veg. any strains that would thrive in the GL60? anything will help really. thanks! :joint:

I have about 2'D ~2'W 5'5"T Space wise. I would like to try using Co2 This grow,I herd you can us Spritzer water to foiler feed and that will give it Co2 vut you have to wash off the plants everyonce in a while with plain Water so the plant dosent "Clog" up,has anyone done this? I was also wondering if any one knew any other "Cheap" ways of getting Co2 that works pretty well?

I have a GL60, had her about a year. I've used everything from 2x 85w (165w total) CFLs with shades to a 2ft 8tube (216w) to a 250w CMH. 400 covers more like a 3x3 area so you might actually have too much light in the tent which leads to destruction of chlorophyll (bleaching). I use a air king 6" to exhaust the tent out the top and another to blow under the canopy. I like scrog because the tent is low, although this is my first time flowering anything besides males in it. Previously it was a mother tent. Anyhow if you want any pics of how I have it setup or anything just holla. I'll leave you with one of my screen in the GL60...u might wanna look into the scrog technique.

Use tonic water. You want nothing on ingredient list except carbonated water. Anything else like sugar, ect will harm the plant. If you follow this, no need to rinse it's just plain water and the co2 will off gas to the plants. You will have to spray while the lights are on (they only use CO2 during the day) so you need to raise the lights up a bit to make sure u don't burn them while spraying.

Thank you so much this helps alot. i was thinking about getting a 250W bulb for my light but im not sure if it will work. this will solve the 400W problm quick and easy. this would only be my 3rd succesfull grow so dont think i know what im talking about lolz. and i would love to see some pics!

It won't work without a dimable ballast. http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-HTGSupply-250-watt-High-Pressure-Sodium-Grow-Light.asp this is the setup I have for mine. I replaced the bulb with a CMH for better spectrum and added UV-B though.

lol and damn so i have to buy a whole new system?. ive never herd of CMH ill have too look into them. what Strain? how much do you expect to harvist from this baby

It's a freebie seed I got from the Tude. Royal Queen Seeds - Blue Mistic. And it's a indica dom so I'm shooting for about 5 oz. Don't be afraid of the scrog lol it's really awesome once you try it you will see just how easy it is...think of it like a grid that allows you to 'set' each branch exactly where you want it. Only thing tough is timing when to flip to 12/12 but it's honestly pretty forgiving.

As for the light, I don't think you can find an air-cooled hood that will fit in there. I also think the 400 is just too much light. Maybe you can sell the other system? use craigslist or something, but I would really say your gonna have a hell of a time with a 400 in there. Know it's a tough break to not have shit work out, but that's where research comes in...and questioning experienced users of that specific tent.

CMH= Ceramic Metal Halide, come in 400, 250, 150 and smaller...no big boys but the spectrum is amazing, CRI like 90ish... Definitely worth the 60 bux I paid for the bulb. Plus, the pics come out awesome and hps lighting blows to human eyes lol

Pics are under the CMH light... HPS is super orange. CMH bulbs run on HPS ballsts though, they are retrofits. Unscrew the hps, pop the CMH in, good to go!

So if I was to try the SCROG how many plants should i do in the GL60 i was thinking Smartpots 3 Gal i was gonna do 4 plants. but would that work in scrog and get 5OZ off of a plant like you are planning?

I think 4 is too many....3 is pushing it.... 2 is comfortable..... in 3 gallons at least

if you dont have a handle on the cannabis plant i would put off the scrog.... once your familiar with how it grows id go for SCROG, because that lets you push the space you have..... but you really want to simply work on getting really healthy plants, and helping them thrive.... before you start pushing the space in your tent...

Just my suggestion though..

Are you using an inline fan to draw air in? Or are you just keeping the tent open? I'm interested because I see no ventilation; I'm wondering how you manage your temps

Pic #2 is my exhaust lol set on high speed. Works surprisingly well and very quiet! Have 2 of the 3 screened squares open on the bottom of the tent for passive intake.

Yes well this would be my 3rd grow lol and people say i have a green thumb if that means anything lol but I would love to try the SCROG set up im willing to do 2 plants. and im willing to learn lol. ive grown some pretty nice Buds from what ive herd the best in town when it was around.

Your 6 inch fan works well enough to pull the air out? Interesting.

I've seen people straight up lay inline fans in that vent, pointed straight up, little to no ducting and it worked well for them...

I've just never seen a regular fan provide adequate exhaust like that... Very nice.

also had a question about the super soil it says that you only need water is that truee or could i use my botanacare pro grow/bloom? would i have better buds? or is it not worth it at all?

If your making sub's super soil that's organic and all you should feed is h2o.
