I've been a T5 grower for 6 years and see no reason to change.LEDs may be good for suplimental lighting and I like playing with LEDS but for a primary grow light I am not interested in any light that can not supply PSII stimulation or UVA to a plant and the only LED that can provide PSII stimulation is made by austrailian grow lights and my T5s are a lot cheaper
T5's work great, but they need to be super close. Quantum boards penetrate a lot deeper into the canopy. They don't have the UV unless you add it, but they kick ass.

I took these pics last Thursday. Just chopped her today, but didn't take anymore pics. QB's alone. No added UV.

For flower cycle I'd say no, maybe with side supp?...... Look at the umol/s and that's with China marketing bias.
Iplan on using them as supplemental lighting to add more red during flowering.. eavh bulb produces 132 umoles at 12 inches so 4 would give you 524 umoles an efficient flowering level. my main light produces a little over 700 umoles so flowering power is not a problem

Those are spot measurements for PPFD. 168 watts of those lights do not have a PPF output of 524 μmol/second. It will be less than that, likely a lot less.

Also maybe you noticed those measurements are in unol/m² s. I didn't have high hopes that the mfr. would use the μ symbol for micro, but couldn't they have gotten the abbreviation for moles right?

I know about cheap chinese LEDs but they are cheapand they may work for my applicatiom.they achieve those high ppfd readigs by using a very narrow beam angles. for me LEDS are toys to play with and I don't plan on spending a lot on them

I'd lean away from them imo...... but It's your money, only one way to find out grower

Good luck and I wish you the best
