Oh and you asked for the fertiliser too, it's 25-10-10. I use it every single times i water my plants, half dose.

Iv read over this thread and I feel like you need some serious help! your going to be so frustrated out of your mind the way you are doing things. Your plants should be 4X bigger by now. I can guess you are on a budged like most so here are the essentials you need to grow dank weed. Get a tent, extractor fan and an HPS lighting system. the way you have it you are wasting soooo much light. The tubes are just too long to get the lamp close enough to be effective. It also looks hot! BTW quit feeding your plants with the half dose every time. they are too small and its probably causing nute buildup.

Did I read correct that you have never smoked weed :shock:. Well you are in for a TREAT! That is if you grow your stash right. Where do you live where its hard to find contacts? I thought everyone smokes weed... or is it just in cali.

Yea... I'm on a budget... I'm not even paying for any of my equipment myself, my parents are. Yea you heard right, my parents are ok with me growing weed in their house and they're paying for it (kind of x-mas gift). I already reached the budget limit i think, they'll only pay for electricity bill now and i don't have a penny myself. I have read good reviews for El Nino strain. My mind is very open to any suggestion that could build at home to increase the efficiency of my setup. It isn't hot at all in there, the room temperature is 21C inside my "tent" is 21C but objects(plants, termometer) recieving heat from light are 25C. Thanks for tip to slow down with nutes. You read right, i haven't smoked weed once. I live in Canada/Montreal. I bet it's not hard if you know a guy who know a guy who have a contact, but none of my friends have any, shit luck heh? The only drug i have experience with is DXM, can't wait to try weed, or mix dxm and weed. :weed:


So yea, open to suggestions, shoot em up.

cfls will get him by just fine for a starter as they are doing great for my first time and plenty other would say the same. as for the nutes i totaly agree , dont feed them so much - use nutes every other water or longer. and he said it was 75f under the lamps which is a pretty good temp, but as u raise the lights and as they get bigger, temps will change dramatically so ull have to issue humidity heat and probably a nice fan or 2 . also weed is awesome!

I have never consdered the humidity seriously. I tought it was an optional data. The Humidity is not controlled, i read the electronic termometer of the house, it sais 40%. We're going into winter here in Canada, so it's only going to go lower and lower. I think that humidity control is a plus but not necessity. Lke that instead of 100g you'd get 101g (random nomber, dunno what an average 1st crop is).

no problem dude, i just wanna help - i know im still new as well but ive done my reading, and im pretty far in my first grow! humidity is very important, as to much will cause sweating / mold or to little could extremely stunt the growth ! 40% is a good temp for flowering ( perfect actually ) i think in veg 40% would be no problem as it would be better to have it higher .. im assuming around 60% ! . i dont think it has anything to do with the amount of bud you would obtain, but it sure as hell would keep your plant happy :)

and try to buy a little temperature/humidity reader.. i got mine for like 14$ canadian at a local home hardware.. works wonders and is VERY accurate updates every 5 seconds.

Got myself a electronic pH meter. Went to test it, gives a pH of -2, dafuk. Reads manual, must be calibrated into solutions that are sold separately... >_>

Id stick it in somthing that you know the ph of. Check online to find ph of things that are always the same like coke or milk or some shit, and use that as a guide if you cant take it back lol "dafuk" lmao!

Its like noobs teaching noobs up in here. Well for a budget run that you haven't spent any of your own money on, I guess you are doing good. Actually, you are doing quite well with what you have. If I were you I would have got one of those 150 watt hps for $75 or cheaper used but that is neither here nor there. Just keep doing what your doing and you will eventually create bud. On the plus side, because you have never smoked before, you will get high on very little.

BTW: those are not preflowers I believe those are called stiplules.

Day 48

So, I know that alternating nodes are a sign of sexual maturity and being ready for flowering. My plants have up to 8 nodes that are not alternating and doesn't even look like they want to start to alternate.

My questions are, is waiting for alternating nodes to appear a necessity? Does every plants of every strain develop them? After how many more nodes would you guess they might start to appear?

Yea they show some signs of unhealthyness but i'm very certain that was because of a pH problem i created by giving them water with a pH of 2. It stoped propagating so i guess i'm fixing it.

^^ if I were you I would start to flower. You do not need to wait for sexual maturity. The way you have your light it is best to flower early so your plant will stay short. BTW your nodes are alternating. Look at the fan leaves, they come out at alternating angles.

I'll give them about 1 1/2 more week of veg before flowering, i'm not home right now it would be a bad idea to start flowering now and have to transport big ass plants in the car.
