I just spoke to Grow Green and he told me the coppers only took bank records and nothing else. He told me they said to him they thought there were pounds of pot in the warehouse, but didn't find any of course. He said they looked around the place and took nothing else, no computers, which if they did take would have shut them down he told me. The store is open for business and they have Hortilux 1000w HPS EYE bulbs on sale for $85 this week. excellent price that. I might actually buy a couple. Peace

i immagine hortilux would be interested in that 85 $ price.(maybe they called the feds lol) I might be wrong but i was under the impression that they had too match the company price on those like bose stereos or something like that. at least thats what I've heard from a few grow shops peeps. Once again I'm probably wrong but i know I've tried and tried and tried to get a deal on those suckers and thats the schpeal they always give me.

taken from their site -
Starting July 1st 2010 Eye Hortilux requires us to show their Minimum Advertised Price on our website. This policy also forces us to substantially raise our minimum selling prices 50% so Hortilux can protect local Retailers selling prices. We are offering a Freight allowance on all Hortilux products that offsets the local retailers walk in purchase advantage. You may select any shipping option which is offset by the freight allowance.
Eye Hortilux has instructed their distributors to stop selling plantlightinghydroponics Hortilux branded products because we refuse to sell their products at an artificial price, established by Hortilux, that is 50% higher than our regular selling prices. Hortilux lamps will be discontinued as we run out of stock.

You obviously haven't been there in a while. Lol Only one girl works there, no secret cellar, and that location closed about a year ago. It was too small of a place for them. Everyone there is very knowledgable and friendly. I won't let the DEA turn me away from doing business with them. They have the best prices around.

yup. import site. not as simple as ebay or craigslist though. have to deal with tariffs and customs and the like. guy i work with buys a container at a time of scooters and markets them on cl.

my guess is that they were going beyond their legal limits. although it doesnt really say. they probably were doing something in the gray area or just got too big. keep it small and just between a few close mates and you should be safe.

Thought I would note here that I visited a Hydroshop yesterday and it was Ironic that the Cashier working had his One hitter laying out in the open with bud not realizing it !
I informed him of this mistake knowing that there are Pigs watching the stores . It clarified my suspicion that if I was a cop that store would have been in deep shit sad to say . It smelt nice there though and that was enough of an indication for the pigs to get there ball chasing dogs

This just confirmed my thoughts on the Michigan stores , owners and employees . It seems that many of them seem to think that the card can keep them safe even in there stores . I know of a few stores shut down due to such activity and I will be watching this said store as I wont be spending time or money there .

You aren't working at a shop anymore? Is that speeding up, or slowing down, your thoughts on opening an eastern UP hydro shop?

Nope , summertime is near and I did not like the heat on my back due to others actions at said store , so I retired as my Doc said the stress levels were wearing me down due to unwanted responsibility , shit I have enough of my own at this point and can make plenty more without being paid chump change . I never needed the job but wanted to help others and it was fun but not worth it in the end due to all the bullshit on both sides of the fence so to say . I like the old school stores much more as we all do not need the extra risks of shop owners fucking around ..

I recall the guy with the store up in the the U.P. (soo area ) being raided and all of his shit taken , that was the first red flag for me in the area . I was soon selling him ferts and supplies as he is still around but broken due to this all ..

Seriously looking into the store Idea but am only half way to really being able to open a unique store without a backer , though as time rolls I am looking into private investors . Might open one elsewhere as well depending on the need , I want a store that stocks only select proven products and a place where everyone gets there value for the greenback ! Pot talk would be ok with carded members in a private lounge but never in the open as privacy should be respected as well .. I want a old school/new school kinda place and one that is alive and fun . I think most grow stores are as lame as a 7-11 without the arcade games :(

Might get the hippies to take a ride that way soon , but I ll be up there no matter scouting things with my Harley this summer ..

That would be the tits glad. What a great business being able to bullshit with customers all day about growing ganja. If you do this I would make a point of stocking a lot of organic inputs from companies like Down to Earth. I'm kind of new to the organics thing but I was shocked at how difficult it was to source all of the ammendments it takes to make a good organic soil. Being a medical state I really think things are trending towards organics and a store that can be a one-stop shop for all of that shit would make a killing imo.
