Grow for Profit

The black market is always there.... but when u r trying to be legit and legal, it can pose a problem for a business, when u have an over-saturation of legal growers flooding dispensaries with awesome weed... I mean, they can only buy SO much... And when u haveta drive from COmpton and San Diego to NoCal to get yer whole crop sold out, u waste up all yer profit in gas and hotels... This is JUST ONE account of the "green rush" of the west, from one group of long-time growers/activists from the other side of the country, though...
Fair enough, i did mean the black market which is much much bigger than the med market.
You have to set yourself up with a couple of good reliable foot soldiers and meet them in your local hood. No fuel, no credit ,no hassles ,no street dickheads ,no late night knocks on the door from someone wanting a $20 on tick. Problem is there is never enough. Dont worry youll get there one day.

I looked at moving to CO for the same reasons, and their rules r soooo stringent with having to have cameras in the grow 24/7, and all that... It just seems like the State has too much of a monitering system set up in CO, that it would make me a nervous wreck the whole time... I mean, what if u happenned to be in the buff when u went in the grow for a watering? Idk... I just wouldn't want ANY1 watching me doing my thing...
or New Mexico????

Well when you are talking about something like MJ the market for it won't go down..til it is totally legal of course...then it's market will get much much smaller since everyone will be able to have it or get it on their own...but for now there are too many people that can't get enough...lol. But I wouldn't think you could move west and just hope growing will pave the way..although it still might if you have enough cash to get a place and get it set up...

Takes alotta cash to get yer crew or family, or both, "planted" in a new area, and see a grow through, and take it to market, and begin to see actual profit come in... Itz possible though... Man, I wish I were a Trump or a Kardashian... I'd have the biggest collective in the U.S.... lol... Alot of property owners r feeling threatened by the feds, that if they knowingly or unknowingly have tenants who grow, that the property owners themselves could be held up to whatever Draconian law they would use to punish them... Itz pretty retarded... SO, Idk... But, even when mj IS legal, just think of all the jobs it will create, just as it does now, and how much money would be diversified in other areas besides profit... U have trimmers, growers, collective owners, dispensary workers, drs who would do nothing but research cannabis for different health problems and benefits from it's use, and the list gos on... So, although things would change as far as market prices, they will just be displaced into other arenas, and everyone will still come out ahead, from the smallest grower, to the US gov't, who would reap huge amounts of tax revenue, like they do from beer, and liquor, and tobacco... Only those things kill people, instead of heal people, like mj does...

theres enough "slices" for everyone to make money selling definately , mj is a big pie and its easy to sell and be a part of the slice!

I kinda haveta disagree there man... In Santa Cruz, the local market was soooo flooded, and u couldnt move even the finest of dank... It was just too hard for us, even though we had moderate business success, and wonderful growing success, it just didn't happen there, for us... Not to say it coouldn't be possible for someone else... Somewhere else... U CAN do anything u set yer mind to, even turning conservative areas around to see truth and pass medical bills...
I agree with you. It's one of the reasons some of that good quality " cali medical bud" is being spread out as far as the east coast. Guys just FedEx to someone cash on delivery. The California market is saturated. The relationships that have formed over the last few years between providers and growers are very hard to break. It's supply and demand. Normally the price should come down but these growers have the whole nation to as a customer.

Legitimately if your one of these new growers just how would you get your product into a dispece. You would probably lower your price but why when you could just ship it out of state and make that cheese. I mean you are in business to make money right....very hard to resist.

cuz shipping weed out of a legal state is worth 7 years. even if ur shipping it to another legal state. not just fed law but even state law is against it. im good without the risk.

I know its illegal but that doesn't stop people from doing it, you know that :bigjoint:. Lets face it, its very hard to run a legal growing operation. even if growing it is legal in your state, your still breaking federal law. There are a lot of people who started off their grow "legal" and had to sell on the "black market" to make a profit because they cant sell to a legit "dispensary"... its just the way it is.

the difference is the state will back u if ur legit against the feds. if u get caught sending weed across state lines its a state crime and the regular popo not the feds can arrest u and prosecute u. not worth it in my book. especially since its so easy to be legit. in cali the people complaining of having no where to sell ur bud r crazy and need to get ur feelers out there and do some footwork. give me ur weed and ill give u 2000 cash for it a p and ill make the extra grand doing the footwork for u. lmao. come on guys if u get in good with people and r trustworthy u will never not have a place to off ur goods. even if its p's at a time. people that send it cross country are mostly just in it for the funds and aint no problem with that. but again 7 years and a few felonies just isnt worth a few extra grand in my book.

awful idea...if you wanna grow for profit you are better off in a non med state..even in a med state ou could easily be targeted for growing by the feds...they look for growers making a profit ...cali is flooded with green...top shelf green is a dime a dozen for 2 k a pound wholesale price..now you have 60 lbs and need to drive loads back to where you are now for a decent profit(the riskiest part of it all) ...stay where you are at and grow there...the cost of living in cali is high also..good luck

I say go hard and stay home! The penalty is the same "Federally" any where in the country. Push the limits where you live, and find a dilapidated market near your home base and rape the game!

dont get me wrong im not against making money. lol. if u can make a profit on it go for it. im just saying its a horrible idea to ship it across the country via fedex or ups or the u.s.p.s. grow it and smash the market in ur area. its worked so far. made many people rich in cali a few of my friends included. besides if u have the smarts the know how and the financial backing making money with weed is simple. its all the overhead costs that get u if u dont have any of the previously stated u may be screwed.

And the feds can and will do as they please!
tell that to my buddies dispensory that shuts down one week a month to go to the courthouse to renew the restraining order against the d.e.a. has been doing this for the past 4 months and is still in business. if u have the money u can do almost anything if ur smart and know how to bend the laws or u have a lawyer that knows how to bend them for u. remember even the feds are bound by fed law.

you better have a lotta bread because the feds have an unlimited supply of money and resources...even if ya avoid the can...the lawyers will clean you out... your boy may have stayed in biz and thats cool...i hope he stays busy and free ...but for everyone of him there are ten other dispens owners that fold under the weight of the feds and lawyers fees

its cuz they never planned ahead for the lawyer. they didnt even think hey the feds might come knockin at my door. maybe i should save a little of the ballin ass money im bringin in and get a ballin ass lawyer that actually knows his shit. lol. my buddy takes 10% of the dispensaries monthly profit just for lawyers fees to keep it open and to make more money and to help out the patients. so in the long run its still worth it. he loses in fees but gains in the extra months he is open.
