ground VS 5 gallon buckets

obviously planting straight into the ground with amended soil is the best bet for maximum yield but but how exactly how much higher of a yield would it produce? Is there really that much of a difference? Is the convenience of a bucket worth the lesser harvest? Lets say for example we use a sativa/indica cross that typically yields 1-1200 grams outdoors (ex. Mandala #1).

I prefer the ground myself. Also a 5 gallon bucket with a huge plant will require water more often.

One more thing, your sig "Anything I say or say I do on this website is fictional. I do it for my own entertainment and self amusement. In no way do I actually act upon what anything that is said."

Do you really think that does anything, like it will protect you? I see it alot and get a kick out of it.

Nothing beats growing in the ground outdoors. I've used a couple earthboxes before and got some amazing results, but still nothing compared to the VW Bug sized trees straight in the ground.
