Greetings friends

Hello all,
I've recently began my quest as a first time grower, with the help of a lot of articles and posts on this site. I don't want to count my seeds before they germinate, but so far it's been a blast learning more about this magnificent plant than just inhaling it. I must admit though, my quest for knowledge on this plant has become somewhat addictive, as I'm sure it is for most. I don't expect to produce astronomical results overnight, or ever for that matter, my wishes are small, become more intimate with this plant, watch it grow from a seed on up, and maybe use a little bit here and there haha, who am I kidding on that last part. I just wanted to take this moment to introduce myself to the community and thank everyone for all of the good reads, many questions I had were answered without even having to ask, it was already written for me. I look forward to reading more and interacting with you all during this journey.

Peace,
Jacky.

What strains you got and whats your set up?
I am trying with a couple bagseeds. I wanted to figure out my method before I spent some coin. I've been germinating these seeds going on a week now, first I tried the cup method, all the seeds eventually sunk in 2-3 days but the seeds didn't pop or show a root, so I switched to the paper towel method, and still no roots, I'm thinking maybe it wasn't warm enough where I was attempting to germ though so now I got the plate sitting next to my heater vent. I'm gonna give it until tomorrow and if they don't pop I'm just gonna plant them and see what happens. I'm going to plant them into a plastic 16 ounce cup filled with Fox Farm Light Warrior and see what happens. I plan on using CFL lights, I'm a little unsure on the wattage I've read 42 watts a piece would be fine, but then I read that's too low of wattage, I know I want 2 in the 6000K full spectrum area and 2 in the 3000K area in soft white, and I guess I'll run all 4 at once, 2 for vegging and 2 for flowering. I don't have a ton of money to spend on lights, I'm just a regular dude with a regular job, who lives with his girlfriend who was layed off. I'm doing this as a hobby, don't get me wrong, I want to produce some buds, but I'm not gonna break the bank to do it, ya know? After reading the CFL section on here, I'm pretty comfortable in thinking I could probably get some decent results using CFLs, I'm not too worried in buying everything I need at once, like I said I'm just gonna start off with 4 bulbs and see what happens, after all the seeds were free. I'm not even sure if the seeds are male or female, so that'll give me a decent learning experience as far as identifying the sex of plants goes.

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome, we'll see how this first grow attempt goes.
