Amazing looks like each of those plants need like 6 feet all the way around them so they got the room to fill in like that. This will be my goal is to get some looking like that. Just got off the phone with a few hydro stores got some ideas now. One idea is involved making my own oragnic tea and getting a air stone aerate for two days : ) Give the plants really somethen to drink.

So what kind of soil have you been useing, or are planning to use for this grow?

I'm a first time outdoor grower and plan on doing 6 different strains this year,
have set up the planter boxes and am just trying to figure out what I should fill them with. I have access to everything from worm castings to top soil, but am not sure which way to go on this.

If you go back a few pages and read you will find your answer. The pics are of grows I have done and have in progress. Me personally I hope those six strains for you are from clone. If not I hope you germinate enough seeds. good luck dirrtyd

Whats your opinion on feeding with that organic tea? Mixing mollases guanos and such in a bucket and putting a air stone in it for two days to get everything going. Seems to me it could be the ticket. Friend has a tent used the tea with out the air stone and came out realll nice a great flush soo smooth to.

I would recommend the teas they work in my opinion. Just give the plant what it needs and you wont need the teas. I only feed with water once I transplant into the ground. I try and give the plant everything it will need in the soil mix as far as nutes. So in my method there is no need to flush because I have only been watering the plant. dirrtyd

Don't the nutes in the soil only last a month? I was told after a month or so the nutes in the soil can get used and need replenishing. So i guess thats were the fertalizers come into. The guy on hydro store phone told me you flush eveey 10 to 14 days to prevent the build up on the roots. Told me about the batanicare clearex helps flush and get all the salts off the roots.

Gop I'm telling you how I do it the guy at the hydro store wants your money I dont. If you look at my thread for last summer those plants were put out in early may late april they were given a few servings of molasses and water mostly water from the hose. They went all the way with the soil mix that I used it is very hot. This soil will probably burn young clones and seedlings I suggest they be well rooted at transplant. dirrtyd

The gurls are looking good in the greenhouse they are shooting more and more pistils lately. Will take pics this weekend they all should be in second weeek of flowering at this point. I then have two plants behind them by two weeks. Hopefully all will finish prior to the end of March. Will be sticking some of the seedlings out to show sex then throw back under lights inside after they show for me.dirrtyd

Yes please! Post pics! And send me some soil! LOL I was thinking that we should post a Northern Cali Grow thread for outdoors this year. I know it would have been cool to pop in and see how others around me were doing with their crops all in one thread. I think it would be massive! What do you think and would you contribute?

I would contribute but it would have to be a Bay Area thread because of the weather differences.

Yeah they all looking good no moisture on them. Starting to smell that funky smell when I unzip the greenhouse. So there will be buds in about six weeks. The clones are getting huge will have to put some in a bigger pot then flower outside. Will save some too harvest in September hopefully. dirrtyd

Well we got hail and all kinds of funky weather today. Thanks for the greenhouse. The catnip and mint are starting to sprout with the basil. The clones will be transplanted later this week they are going great. The seedlings will also go to a new home this week they are getting there sixth set of leaves. Then the two largest clones will go to greenhouse for flower at the end of the month. sidenote walmart got 2700k bulbs for 92cents. dirrtyd
