Chuck#2 Rose clone pollinated with same males as above, 100 hand slap and sour mandarina x rosewater cookies.

Great structure, slight rose terp carried over but sharper and more citric and not much of the rubbery/machinery grease smells from the original Rose clone.

Looking forward to the smoke test.
Looking good GB. Did you have any set goals with this chuck or is it an exploratory thing?

I’ll try and make it short haha.
Many years ago I had something that tasted like pure rosewater Turkish delight, so memorable that I can still pretty much taste it 15 years later.
My mate didn’t know the name of the strain when he got it so its origins have remained a mystery. Every few years I think about what it could have been or be made up of.

I’ve managed to get hold of what I believe could hold some of the rosewater/Turkish delight terps or descriptions mention it but it’s hardly ever talked about or wanted it would seem.

So far,
Sinai - real seed company
Mandelbrots Royal kush 7 - emerald mountain
Lime water - trichome jungle ( F2’s from a buddy)
100 hand slap - trichome jungle
Radorose - karma and cannarado colab

The 100 hand slap, and limewater have a specific clone called rosewater in them both, I believe it’s a uk clone only thing very little info on it.
The Radorose is a cross with cannarado og and the Rosewater clone crossed to a cookie something or other from karma, and that’s my clone called “Rose”.

Last summer I planted out 100 hand slap and sour mandarina x rose water cookies in the hopes of finding a male that had the rose water terp.
I kept the best two males that came up, one of each, and let them have their way with the Rose clone.
I have a bunch of these Rose x’s to go through and hopefully “he” the most Rosie male with show up one day.
I only popped 3 of them so really can’t make to many judgments yet until I can at least go through 20-30 to see whats actually in there or if it’s even worth continuing.

Either way it’s a very long journey and with all those other lines to explore it could easily be a lifelong mission.

The original strain had a somewhat diesely tang about it as well. But hey, I could be way off with what I already purchased, maybe it’s hidden in some old bubba kush cross or a perfumy Afghan or paki.
I dare say it will remain a mystery but it’s a fun adventure none the less.

Take it easy bud bongsmilie

Have you ever looked thru any sugar black rose from Delicious Seeds? I found one, about 3-4 yrs ago, that stank to high heaven of fresh roses. The yield was dismal but the terps and effects were outstanding. I chucked some different males on it to try and increase the yield, while maintaining that rose terp profile, with no real success. I gave up on it but I know the rose terps are in there, if you want another option to chuck with. They are fems tho so you'd have to do a reversal.
Anyhow, good luck on your adventure!

Interesting! I think I’ve actually got a few freebies of that in the fridge (unfortunately not a full pack), and I’m still undecided for what to pop for outdoors here.
I’m not that bothered about weight, I’m definitely more flavour over yield inclined.
Cheers

The two wine gums are down, very happy with them and keeping both at this point.

Back to no space utilising the walkway, as the veg tent is now the dry tent and there’s others still flowering so it’s a somewhat staggered harvest until all down and back to normal.

Ordered 2-5mm pumice for a new soil mix and received this.
Emailed the company and apparently “this is now the preferred way to use pumice and that it’s just crushed up and without any adulterants”.
I’m no geologist but there’s more than just crushed up pumice.
I emailed him a picture saying it was mixed with perlite and other rocks and was told it’s “LOW DENSITY PUMICE” and definitely not perlite that I’m holding in my hand hahahahaha!!!

It was obviously going nowhere so I told him that he made my day with the low density pumice thing and moved on. Hilarious anyway you look at it.

Interesting stuff & good looking grows, i found your post looking for more info regarding kaliman seeds, i had some nitro express a friend grew in his backyard, probably 6 years ago, definitely one of my old school favourites, you havent tried their exocet haze by any chance ? Very minimal info on it that i can find.

Sorry dude only just saw this.

I certainly enjoyed the nitro express, I even chucked a bit of pollen at her for one day in the future.
I haven’t tried the Exocet but it’s one I’ve always had my eye on.

There’s some mixed reviews on kaliman and I was pretty happy both times I’ve ran his seeds.

He has a collaboration with BSB genetics that’s an old school blueberry x his cheese #1.

So far his cheese#1 has been the best cheese I’ve found in seed, but there was a bit of a variety in the pack.
I have yet to pop my pack of Ben Gunn from KGBeans which I was recommended by @conor c (he hasn’t let me down with the recommendations) as an excellent cheese.
looking forward to that one.
