Grape Ape vs. The Purps

And what happens when you grow purple bud in a new way and it doesnt go purple does that means its not as good as the purple colored buds? I gre sweet purple in dirt and it was all dark purple buds solid now in hydro flood and drain clones from the same plant have no color except more of a golden color bud with white crystals and not purple crystals.

purple this purple that. it is all the same thing. tastes like dirt and flowers. i hate purple.

I have seen you say this so many times!! I laugh my ass off every time. Your funny! I will make sure never to offer you a bowl of purps, but I am like you, don't like the perfume smell to it! LOL......Keep saying it every time someone talks about it though, keep me laughing. LOL

me? i have 1 in my flower room right now. just 1 though. it's "the purps" and it smells amazing. i could never smoke it all day every day. no reason to. :blsmoke:

i've tried them all and purple is just purple :-| ........https://www.rollitup.org/seed-strain-reviews/46319-fdd-s-flavor-week.html

Oh, I was sure you've grown purple FDD. I'd be surprised if there was anything you haven't grown...but if you look at the thread starter's location it also says northern cali...i didn't even realize yours was too.

And I think that purple being overrated is due to its complete commercialization. If all you ever saw anywhere was kush, you'd probably be sick of it too.

Variety is the spice of life! :joint:

you all are correct. for the last 6 months that's all it's been here. 8 different flavors of purple. and that's it unless you go down to B grade. it would be fine if it were purple and some other things. but nope, just purple.

Here we goo.sweet purple shown in the bowl from dirt and sweet purple same mommy clones grown in flood table.Which is da bomb the purple colored or the non purple. They are both the same plant..now what

I got into the purple hype for awhile... But it gets old. The thing is, half of the "purple strains" that come around aren't actually purple strains, but in fact normal strains that turned purple due to a number of reasons: nitrogen deficiency, cold temp, fluctuating temp, etc, etc etc... Hell, if you wanted, you could go out and buy a product called ClearX that will flush your plant so hard it will turn purple as balls...

Nonetheless, I'm actually growing grape ape at the moment. I will say that up to this point, the plant has not ceased to amaze me. In fact, the buds are getting soo big, I have to tie them up. If you want to see more pics of my grow, I just started a thread here.

Purples are cool to show your friends that don't see great weed all the time. My favorite strains would be strawberry cough, Kawaii, Congo Gold, and Willies wonder. Got 2 purple kush plants flowering now hopefully they don't turn purple till the last 2 weeks or so. want it all to be genetics.

Greenhouse has apparently ripped off a name again, apparently, only their Himilayan Gold has been around for 15+ years. I have a couple feminized going outside in the pacific NW so i will tell you if they go purple or not.

Also, just got the chance to compare Super Silver Haze with some Blackberry. Now, Blackberry is just a purple Indica like any other. But super Silver Haze is supposed to be one of the best Sativas out there, and I prefered the Blackberry. You know sometimes things like this come down to personal preference, and not just THC to CBD ratios.
