I hope this journal turns out magnificent....
I have planted a garden containing the following:
1.morning glorys (several varieties)
2.moon flowers (first year trying these)
3.johnny jump ups. (heard they were finicky)
4.sunflowers.(from mamouth to evening mix. 6ft to 20 ft tall)
5.impatients. (which are easy)
6.4 o clocks (which will serve as back drop to the)
7.420 (which should be amongst the)
8. bird of paradise(s)

This is the begining as I have numerous sprouts turning up. I have dug all beds and (left unframed) mixed the yards natural soil with 1/2 mix of top soil. In more important spots I put a lil manure in their for good measure. Ive been keepin the planted areas moist with a quick spray in the early AM.
I am in a full on war with feral cats at the moment and coffe grounds in the beds seems to be working.
Moonflowers were up after 3 days on monday the 21.
morning glorys started to follow on 22nd. sunflowers today the 25th.
So Definitely more stuff going in the garden as the weather changes....Febuary 28th 1st sunflower up and out
9. Honey suckle vine. (bought at store and transfered)

I do prefer to grow from seed. I find it amazing..
The gardens name represents what i hope to do.. Im not the type who makes use of planters too much. I have had to strecth my botanical morales this year and gone with several: for the enemy combatant soil Im dealing with....
I hope to share this experience more through piktures than words. My means are simple, my goal is simple, my plan is not giving up on "Grandmahs OverLoad Garden"

Mother Nature Dictates Pickture updates....
Enjoy and Thank you for having me RIU

I do have heavenly blues planted somewhere.. as far as the rest of morning gloys i have no idea the colorful kind for sure....I am very particular to vines as ive always been able to see more progress as opposed to bushes and flowers......
also will add some white asslyum today... a 4 inch ground cover that i imagine will take some time to establish....
thankyou for your warm welcome. (just quit grasscity after 6 years) the website has gone a direction i found hypocritical and I didnt want to be part of that......besides they didnt even have a gardening forum......Peace out....

just a seed update with more sewing tomorrow....rows of sunflowers are coming up and thats the key to garden, so they will get alot of attn.
picked up several more varieties of plants today.
1.Nigella (aka hot fudge sunday, cutting flowers)
2.Hyacinth bean(looks pink)
3. Lunaria (aka honesty money plant, lol)
4. Nasturtium night and day mix.
5 Sunspot sunflowers which are the 1 to 2 ft dwarfs with 12 inch heads.....
so right now honey suckle and white bird of paradise are only store bought plants. everything else is from seed.......theres a few seedlings that are growing too fast for the yard and i hope everything else catches up real soon.....

After Edit: numbers 1 and 2 went in a 2 level homemade shit fire in a bucket hillbilly hammering bed with lattice!!!!!!!! were sewed the 28th of feb....partly shaded...will be curious to see the results....BOTH VINES. THE BACKDROP IS THE HYCANITH WHICH CAN GROW TO 10 ft FRAMED BY 12 INCH HOT FUDGE SUNDAYS.......PUT IN SNAP DRAGONS AND something else FOR the woman too...........

well one set of neighbors has seen the freuits of the garden as they are outgrowing eveything else.....and the assumption that they are cool was right.....no spoken words just a smile of knowing and "its ur yard, we know ur growing for urself, have fun silly kid" feeling confident now....
Vietnam vets dont give a shit....very cool....

You man, i like the look of what your doing but i wouldnt add more seeds yet, let everyone have a chance to grow up and get settled in.

So whats the idea here, are all the plants to add stealth or are they providing some nutritional benefit to eachother?

sorry, did you say there was ganj in your garden? didnt see it in any pics....

are you growing your morning glories for their hallucinogenic properties or because they are beautiful flowers?
