Here's my gun shop now. They have the Glock 18 machine pistol to shoot if you want. I haven't went on a Machine Gun Tour yet, but I will one of these days. I'm going all out though and want to shoot the M60 in the process.

When I was in the guards I carried a 60, got to drive a Jeep also....

Once on a summer camp at fort Hood they turned us loose on a range with 6 cans of ammo, I tried to shoot all of it but the safety NCO would tell me they were all dead and when I kept firing he'd hit me on the knee with the mic.

We had 8 60s in our scout platoon.

lots of machine pistols out there, glock 18, Beretta?? I know they made one on a 92 type platform but I can't remember number. Mac90, Mac 10, mp5pdw, uzi, mini uzi... list goes on. Damn hard to shoot tho.

I carried an m60 on every square inch of fort bragg... lol. Was happy when we got 240s and 249s. I switched up to a 249 and much prefer carrying it.

I have a thing for .22s.
be it tiny little akker .22s.

or long case high-speed ones fired from a semi-auto carabine, the old one that could break down to a pistol. Unless you are packing armor that thing is going to put a lot of hurt on you.

My only SAO handgun is my Ruger Bisley in .45 Colt.
I bought it new years ago to convert to .475 Linebaugh but she still sits in stock configuration.
Lovely trigger & very natural to sight (I suspect due to the ergonomic grips). Hitting a paper plate unsupported is pretty simple @ 100 yds, if I take a rest that can be almost doubled.

My .500L started as a Bisley in .357. I shot a hundred through it before sending it off to Mr. David Clements.

I had another Bisley in .44 that I sold unfired.
I had planned to have it worked up as a short-cylinder sixgun optimized for .45 ACP. It was gonna be my Dwarf Magnum. And a perfect target pistol sending biig wadcutters downrange at precisely the same leisurely pace each time. Never happened.

what gun would you buy off the shelf for a decent price ( sub $1000 for sure) that could ring a steel plate at 500m? optics are already taken care of.

Very close in stature. Illinois varies per county as far as what's considered concealed, by opinion. It basically can't show or outline most areas, and some don't care if it's hanging half out. Winter time different story of course. 45 ALWAYS in the truck.

Ok I gotta ask. What is it about Indiana winter that recommends having a gun at hand?
