Pics attached. Do i need to chop it up? Put it in a blender? I have a 220 mesh bag & access to dry ice. My first harvest - all suggestions gratefully accepted.Trim10.jpgTrim9.jpgTrim8.jpgTrim7.jpgTrim3.jpgTrim1.jpgTrim2.jpg

Dry your trim. When dry freeze over night. Use a 5 gallon bucket or 1gallon depending on your bag size. Place frozen trim in bucket. Add dry ice. Shake the shit out of it for a min. Then let it sit for 5 min. Go back and have your bag ready and what ever you are going to use to catch the kief. Shake the bucket till your tired. About 3-5 min. Put bag over bucket quick shake and turn over. With everything in the bag. Shake side to side up and down. When you think no more is falling dump trim and ice pack in bucket. But bag somewhere clean and shake bucket till bag is no longer frozen. Repeat the bag process. By this time you should have it all. Dump in bucket and place in with your grow. Extra co2 never hurts. And your done. Clean your bag with iso. 220 works good but I think it let to much plant matter fall thru. So I like 160 or less but that's just me. Happy shakeing.

OK, so i let the trim air dry on a cookie sheet for a couple of days, turning it gently several times, then put it into two loosely packed gallon-size freezer bags and they've been a deep-freeze chest for a couple of more days. Looking at the pictures, does it look like it needs to be chopped up a little finer or pulsed a few times in a food processor? You can see the trichs in the scope pictures - I'm hoping for a decent ball of hash. Thank you for your expert advice - will post more pics......... Oh, and I'll start with 160 mesh.

Peace!:peace:

Trust me there is no need to blend it. The dry ice will super freeze it and it shatters into a powder.
Thanks, Warlock. As you can see, there's a lot of trichomes in this trim, but there's also a fair amount of low-grade vegetation. I didn't want to miss anything.

I have a 160 and a 220 bag. Guess I'll do the 160 first and after that starts going green, I'll do a second run with the 220, just to catch the last bits of hashy goodness.

Once again, thanks for your generous sharing of expertise with a nervous newbie. Peace!:peace:

Shake it over a large mirror if you can. Works great. I just scrape mine up with a plastic card and press it in wax paper. I love this stuff!

do not crush the trim it will over process the plant material and allow it to pass the work bag and fyi you need more then 2 bags to make bubble bro, the 160 bag will full of all kinds of crap ie green plant material, get a 120 bag

You can also dump some kief into a cellophane wrapper(cigarette size is perfect). Then you wrap it in a bit of newspaper, wet it, then wrap in a bit of aluminum foil and toss into a conventional oven at 150 for about 5 minutes. Toss your little package on a counter-top, then gently roll using a full can of soda or whatever. Start lightly, then gradually increase pressure. Place into freezer for 10 minutes and unwrap your hash!.

No need for an expensive pollen press.
