That could not be more wrong....A plant cannot just stay in veg forever no matter what "life will find a way...its not just going to keep growing forever. I plant and harvest every couple months here in the desert of arizona ALL YEAR ROUND

So I did some reading it turns out I WAS THE IDIOT and they have strains out there that bud all year no matter what the light!:spew:Excuse me:hump: you all were correct! So your not full of shit! or are u?

O so what ur tellin me is run a plant for 24 hour light and it will bud! no i don't think so! And yes a plant will stay in a veg state until death without producing or it will herm and produce a male.

We have seasons for a reason idiots! you have to get genetically alter a plant to change its normal growth pattern. And Arizona jim growing outside and harvestingevery couple of months naturally! BULL!!!
Now you guys are talkin out your asses. I thought this was an informative site! Show me some proof. All plants go through cycles thats why we have GROWING CYCLES!

Plants "do not" flower at 16 hours of light. They might show preflowers but they do not flower at that light cycle unless they are pre-programmed to do so like lowrider and other autoflowering strains.

Arizona Jim well your the only man in the world who can make a plant bud several times a year OUTSIDE in the DESERT. If what your saying is true way can't we grow fruits and vegtables all year round if the sun and the seasons have nothing to do with the growth and development. Are you an idiot or are you just acting like one?

Oh and the guy who can not spell or talk right, I am in Colombia. Its budding season here outside thats why I know its not budding season there.
The equator and how far you are from it determines what time of year your plant buds.
DAmn yall get an education, weed is rotting your brain!:spew:
He is growing outside so the 24 hours do not apply.

I grew a "winter" crop this year, outdoors. It can be done, it depends on your climate. Yes, it requires timing it right but no matter. Many fruits and vegetables are grown year round in my state. Corn is grown repeatedly, with only a slight hesitation in between dead winter and late frost. We do it all the time with all sorts of things.

Outdoor weed uses the sun as more of a "guide" than a "rulebook", as in indoor growing. As long as the plant can get about 6 hours of strong sunlight, it uses the "amount" of light difference each day to tell it which direction to go in. But if you flower early, it will not just keep growing bud until October. At some point it will finish and must be harvested. Like I said, I harvested my winter outdoor grow about three weeks ago. They were about 24 " tall and stout, but I grow shorties anyways so they might have grown larger with another strain. Just because it isn't spring doesn't mean you can't plant.
Conversely however, if you plant late, the sun becomes more of an influence. There is a "hard" finish line for most growers, except in tropical zones. Almost like taking a test.... time's up. But there are flex seasons where the amount of sun becomes less consequential. :peace:
