Add a festival day every year (many did) and and extra one every 4 years and their calendar would be just about as good as ours.

We have had a few back to back to back days of sunshine. Now it is even going to cool down a little. At 1355 it's sunny, 84F with 72% humidity. Forecast high/low is 88/69F with 20% chance of rain. The 10 day is looking good. High of 87F, low of 65F. 2 days of sun, 2 of rain, and everything else differing degrees of cloudiness.
And my LoD is sub 12 hours now. 11 hours 53 minutes, and losing 1 minute 50 seconds tomorrow.

I saw a spot or two of sun today, but mostly clouds. At 1800 it's partly cloudy, 83F with 77% humidity. Forecast high/low of 86/74F with 20% chance of rain tonight. Not sure yet what Nate is going to bring. Might miss me all together.
10 day only has 1 day of sun, so it might be chop chop for my last few stragglers.

Looks like Nate is going west of me, so no worries there. Hasn't even rained yet today. Yet. At 1730 it's mostly cloudy, 84F with 81% humidity. Forecast high/low of 88/77F with an 80% chance of rain tonight. Would love for it to hold off until morning, when I will do some chopping.

At least it's only Category 1 and it's moving fast, minimizing rainfall accumulation.

Nate turned out to be a heavy hitter with the storm surge. I kept seeing storm surge warnings for my part of the Gulf, but I never thought it would have the punch it did. It must have hit at high tide or something, because it was a bitch.

I forgot to post my weather before. It was a hot night last night. I stayed at the camp, and had to resort to underwear and crocs when I was doing my camp chores. It was 80F at midnight. Well, it was in the tent anyway. Maybe a little cooler outside.
At 2025 its, clear, 81F with 90% humidity. Forecast high low of 91/74F with 20% chance of rain tonight.
There is a cool front coming through thursday/friday, after the rain goes away. I was planning on hiking three days this week, but the rain might make me change my mind.

She's absolutely right. Between the high altitude and the low humidity here, a low number on the thermometer doesn't feel anywhere near as cold as it would in a damp sea level environment.
Coldest night I'd experienced in a long time was my first night in Ft Lauderdale- I was on the beach with the onshore breeze and it never got before the low 60s. Froze my ass off anyway! That very morning I had dragged my suitcase through a foot of snow on the way to the bus stop in Colorado and I wasn't a bit cold.

When I had cows to feed with an open tractor when it was in the 30's was the worse. You don't drive very fast. We never had enough antifreeze in the tires, so we had to wait until noon to risk moving the tractor.

I'm back from my 3 days on the trail. I picked up a new Frogg Toggs poncho this week, and got a chance to use it Wednesday night. Worked pretty well. No rain since then. A little cooler now, but too late to help with my hiking.
At 1745 it's sunny, 85F with 51% humidity. Forecast high/low of 89/68F with 10% chance of rain tonight.
And now that I have chopped all my rotten plants, my 10 day has one day of chance or rain. It's all in the timing. Low of 57F though. Glad to have that.

Fall arrived in NW Florida yesterday afternoon. Our low was in the high 50's this morning with lots of sunshine and a good breeze. I wish I had been walking the trail instead of the isles of my local shops today.
At 1650 it's sunny, 74F with 41% humidity. Forecast high/low of 78/53F with no chance of rain tonight. My 10 day looks like 2 1/2 days of rain at the start of the week, but sun the rest of the time. {I'm having to remember to water my sprouts. This is a new experience for me this year}
