Good Morning/Weather Report Suite

I stayed down the river house. I'm spend so little time there, I still haven't switched the heat on. I did come back home to get my down throw and cold weather bag. Other than my toes getting wet when I went walking, I was toasty all night. We got down to 23F this morning. I ran out and cranked the truck, then waited about 15 minutes before braving the road. It was a nice day though. No wind and not too cool.

At 1815 it's clear, 48F with 51% humidity. Forecast low of 41F with 20% chance of rain tonight, 20% tomorrow and 80% tomorrow night. 10 day high low of 68/34F with 3 days of possible rain.

Forecast low of 55F with 90% chance of rain tonight, 40% tomorrow and 20% tomorrow night. 10 day high low of 68/36F with 5 days of possible rain.

Things have been heating up here in the nation's capitol so much so that we've called in some rain just in case flames erupt over the weekend. It is 44°F at 1035 and we might see a high this afternoon in the low 50s. Rain is expected to become steady overnight offering about 1-inch before daybreak Saturday.

I've got the impeachment muted, and am listening to the Grateful Dead's 1/24/71 show on You Tube. They have so many graphics and videos I don't think I'm missing anything. A decent China Cat Sunflower btw.

We did get that rain, over an inch. At 0855 Sunday it is already 42°F with an expected high of 45. It is 81% RH but with a dew point of 29° it doesn't really seem all that wet or moist out. And that's it. The multiday forecast says it will be mostly sunny and mostly in the 40s for the coming week.

I thought I might have been seeing things but there are small green grass blades shooting up from the absolutely destroyed and very packed side yard. Visitors have since verified that I am indeed seeing the grass pretend winter is over.

A week or so back the wife and I saw blackbirds flying north. I had meant to mention it on here, but didn't think of it until I saw your comment. We've had a lot more days in the 70's than in the 50's of late.

We had rain showers yesterday, with heavy mist and some spitting rain last night. I stayed at the river house, but was able to get in two miles of road walk between showers. It was still a heavy mist this morning when the wife and I went back down there for her to get her walking in.

At 2035 it's fair, 50F with 88% humidity. Forecast low of 38F with 10% chance of rain tonight, tomorrow and tomorrow night. 10 day high low 73/38F with 3 days of possible rain.

Our rain

Our rain was scheduled for Saturday and now it seems not rain, but showers, and not during the day, but MAYBE Saturday evening. Otherwise, more of the same. At 0845 it is 41°F. It has been dropping below freezing and then warming into the mid 40s all week. The pattern continues.

It rained most of the morning yesterday. Then hit or miss showers through the afternoon and early evening. I stayed at the river house and only had time for about a mile after Don and the big Impeach stopped, but before the late night shows came on. The road is limestone and gets pretty mushy after rains. I tried it for a little bit, but mostly went back and forth on the driveway for the 20 minutes I had.

A nice day today. Some sun and warmer. We went from 43 to 63F. At 1845 it's fair, 55F with 79% humidity. Forecast low of 50F with 40% chance of rain tonight, 90% tomorrow and 20% tomorrow night. 10 day high/low of 77/38F with 5 days of possible rain. These fronts seem to be coming through every day or two.

Last week's 23F fucked me up pretty good. Older plants got burned, but look like they will live. The older young stuff all cashed. The babies look rough, but will make it.
That’s a bummer man. This should be the last freezing cold snap for us. Hopefully. I’m trying to throw some plants down ASAP to prevent reveg. Well that, and I ran out of room indoors lol. They are all 8-10week strains. If they start to reveg as days get longer I’ll just make a bunch of hash..

My flowering stuff is Ass Cheese Blues. I had hoped to made f2 seeds with two of them. That is the strain that early flowered summer before last. If it will do it all the time, I can put them out mid spring and they will go ahead and finish in early summer.

The older of the young ones were #11 and 12 Triple Jack. That is (#11 and 12 random bud x Triple Purple Dojo) X (Jack herer x shit/skunk). It was mostly bad timing. I had them under glass with the gas lantern going to keep them in veg. The cold was just a couple of nights after I got them set out.
