Goin hps to cfl for veg

Can u switch hps to cfl? I got all plants under hps and dont have room to bud all at once. I do have anothet grow station with cfls. It wont stress em to much right?

Depending on how many watts you are running of each, the cfls could actually be better for vegging than the hps. However for flowering, you obviously want to go with the hps

Those are 6500 bulbs right? How many plants were you trying to put under the cfls

Yes. I got 4 seeds germin n 3 5 week olds. ( five total in plants buddinn two)

yes you can play with the lights all you want....i had a mh/hps set up over my grow because i was flowering in the same spot for that grow, so every once in a while i would flip off the cfls and turn on the mh just for the hell of it idk i felt like they liked it lol. but ya no ill effects from changing light types randomly. i mean if that were the case people including myself wouldnt be vegging under flouros then putting them straight under a hps for flowering.

I done it, no problems, I don't think it will have any effect on plants in Veg.
I dunno about flowering, need to treat em like a baby once in flower so might not be a good idea but who cares your in Veg and Im stoned

^ even in flower changing your light types will have no ill effect....especially if you change up not down or only change down for a day if you dont want a glow from under the door or whatever!

I put my plants under the same HPS as my flowering plant for 12 hours, then i put them under only 1x 23w cfl for the other 12 hours.
I don't have any other choice but i don't have any problems and won't have any problems in future.

Outdoor plants don't always have constant direct sunlight.

I do the same thing with my two mother plants.Put em in the flower room under 600 watt HPS for 12 hours then under CFL's for the other 6.Saves having to have both lots of lights on together.
