interesting drying method
i'm doing something similar with a wire, but it kept falling off, so now it's being held up a different way, i didn't let the bud have a long enough stem portion for the wire to hook onto...i like how you're doing it over a bag with a little fan in the bag, i need to do something like that for mine, the little sample bud is just kind of in the open in a big room with no air flow, hmmm

Yeah, my dry box came about as a stoned thought. It used to be a faux leather file box, for like storing documents in hanging folders. But when you set it on its side the handles become nice air flow holes, one on each side, it's solid black, so definately a "dark" area, and I threw in the RV fridge circulating fan (comes with charcoal odor packet, but I'm not using it, i love the smell) battery powered. And a paper grocery bag happens to fit right into it!
I need to make a modified wire frame so I can hang the bud more in the box, but the paper bag helps keep me from smashing it in the door. So right now it just hangs on the one wire that the files would be hanging from. It's nice and compact and fits on my dresser!

Harvest is coming!!!!
I will be harvesting my Rhinowreck LST later today, I will update pictures when I've completed it, it's been inspected and deemed ready to chop.
Just need to get the kid to take a nap!!!
Will include pictures and weights after chop, either later today or tomorrow.

Wet weight - Rhinowreck LST (popcorn nugs still on plant, got watered, hoping they will cure up a little more amber if the plant lives.)
Total Wet - 80.9 grams.
Anticipate dried weight should be - 20 grams.
Ended up with 11 "colas". Weight's are easily visible on scale pictures, but here they are all together.
11.1, 7.2, 9.2, 5.4, 4.8, 7.4, 4.8, 4.4, 4.0, 2.2, 20.4 = 80.9 grams

LOST is awesome! I'm getting enough answers, definately gonna be excited and sad to see it come to an end. It should be worth it!!! It's weird, when I started watching I didn't even have a kid.... weird....

Weighed the main cola drying, it was 20.4, now it was 10.7 already! plus there was added weight of the drying wire, prolly 0.3-0.5g. So it seems to be drying fast!

I let mine hang til it felt crispy, now it's going in a jar and in 6 hours I will open it up for 20 minutes or so and rotate the buds. Every time I open the jar I check if the buds feel too moist, if they do lay them out until they feel crisp again and then put them back. After a few days you'll notice less of a difference in how the buds feel when open the jar. They should feel tight and chunky but not too crisp nor wet, almost perfect. At this point you can start checking every 12 hours and eventually less. It's really up to you when you like the way it smells and tastes, there's no standard cure time. Personally I wait at least 2 weeks.

I'm gonna wait till they feel crispy, trim them down to manageable smaller nugs, then jar and seal. The next day I'll open and if they are wet/moist I'll pour them into a paper bag, and let sit open for ? hours and then jar again and see how that does em. Yeah, it all seems based on taste, so we'll see how it goes! That blueberry is looking like its going to need to come down soon... I gotta flush it with water and quit feeding it!! Ack!
