DAMN! my plant was either picked or eaten. my baby didnt even stand a chance. oh well im not to upset, i was only about a week in so there is no real loss there. with this loss i can now fine tune my ideas and my grow technique. becasue of rollitup iv made up a "sea of green" grow box.
these are the specs, i wish i could make it bigger ><.
3' H x 19" L x 14" W
with the box completly constructed i shall hide a door that i can open and tend to my plants (this can be done in any way your mind can imagine)
i shall put in a shelf with MANY half inch holes through it. this will serve for better ventalation
on one side i will cut a 6x6" hole for ventalation
on the top i will put two holes about 4" from each side, this will serve for the computer fans that we will hook up. Now place a power supply from a computer on the inside (try and keep it as high up as possible, we dont need height for this grow.)
find a COMPACT flouresent 105 watt (when searching for one of these, keep in mind that the wattage your looking for is the REPLACEMENT wattage) compacts are ment to save you energy and burn longer and brighter. Example: a 105 watt compact replaces a 500 watt regular bulb. the bulb i have choosen has a lighting output of 6900 lumens (more lumens would be better) you must find a hanging fixture that you can either be screwed on or one you can lower and raise at will.
now that that is done insert your shelf at a foot and a half (even growing room for each shelf)
i plan on planting 4 plants on each shelf i plan on transplanting them from 16 oz cups to its final pot (since were not going big your pots dont need to be huge) i havent caculated it out yet, but im thinking 4 half gallon pots on each shelf. totalling 8 plants in such a small place. im going big my first time becasue if you screw up you have enough plants that you may be able to save some of the plants.
i plan on putting them on a 24 hour lighting untill i decide to put them in the budding stage. with 8 plants 4 on each shelf each with a hopefull yeild of a quarter pound can get you 2 pounds in a very short time.\
