GH nutes question

hello all
ive been reading up on nutes and what to use with each other. i dont know much about growing and neither does a friend of mine that was recently given a nute scedule that a guy swears by but seems a little odd from what ive been reading. so i will post the feeding scedule and maybe some one can tell me if some thing seems off.

below is added everytime he fills a 40 gal res(once per week). 7 weeks bloom total
------------------------------------------
1 week of veg
16oz micro
16oz grow
16oz bloom
8oz diomond nector
------------------------------------------
3 weeks bloom
16oz micro
24oz bloom
8oz grow
8oz diomond nector
8oz AV carbo load
---------------------------------------
2 weeks bloom
40oz bloom
16oz micro
8oz diomond
8oz carbo load
------------------------------------
2 weeks bloom
4oz micro
12oz bloom
16oz diomond nector

i guess what seems strange is the diomond used through the budding..im just not sure..

he filled his res like once a week and used granulated rockwool in buckes and watered them with a gallon picher so it would flood the table and run back into his res..

so does this nute scedule seem odd?

GH doesn't recommend using Diamond Nectar towards the end for some reason, and neither do any of the other nutrient companies like Advanced Nutrients or House Garden. From the research I've done on fulvic/humic acids, they aid the plant in breaking down the elements in the nutrient solution into more absorbable molecules. I'm stil confused why that's a bad thing to do even during bloom phase, but I'll take the more experienced word from them over my own instead of risking it.

Where is the grow in this. Even during flower GH still recomends 1 part grow 2 part micro 3 part bloom. No fulvic or humic acid at the end of flower cycle.

from what i hear the plants would get plenty of the grow from the micro..and since it is only a week veg time the plants would be 2-3 feet top

i have a 55 gallon res...

here is what i use

veg state

12 oz gro
8 oz micro
5 oz. floralicious grow
5 oz. flora nectar
8 oz. diamond nectar
5 tbls. subculture b

for flowering

12 oz bloom
8 ounce micro
5 oz floralicious bloom
5 ounce flora nectar
3.5 ounce kool bloom

this takes my ec to around 1.2 to 1.4 each time...

what seems strange to me is that in a 40 gallon res, those amounts of nutes would cause an EXTREMELY high ec/ppm... i wonder how he doesnt fry his plants...

i emailed GH and they had this to say

hello
i have been told that diamond nector should not be used through flowering. i believe your site along with everyone else has said this. my problem is that ive seen many healthy plants that have use diamond nector all the way through budding all the way up to flushing. i am wondering why this is not a good thing to do?

Hello,
It can cause "stretching" or longer less compact flowers.
Thank you,
