GH Flora trio

I tried that GH Ripen last round and was very impressed. It really seems to boost terpene production. I got some super awesome yields as well, nug density was very high. I never totally cut the other nutes as you can see from my chart. I also used it in my tent run with flood and drain, really good stuff.

@Renfro
What is the EC of the water you start with?
And what is your yield approximately (and how much did it probably increase by using the riping) ?

Water is 2 - 3 PPM.

No clue about yield as this is the first run in the tent, and first run for the LED and with flood and drain.

So i have been using the GH Flora trio and mixing it according to their charts. It seems to me that the Flora Micro (N) is WAY WAY too much. So i cut it back by 60% for bloom and 50% for veg.

Has anybody else doing the same?

Also, if i mix according to their charts with RO i end up with a ppm that is at the very top of the range and found it too be WAY WAY too much (over feeding probs).

So... i am curious about what adjustments to make and what adjustments other people are making... to keep in the right proportions.

So tell me what mix has been working for you....
Their mix has worked awesome for me for just over 20 years, I just adjust the PPMs as needed but the mix is always the same. 123

Im not saying it doesnt work. I like the product. But the chart...

It calls for a shit ton of N. Even in late flowering? Whaaa??

I was just asking about how people have tweaked the chart for their own use.

IE: i cut the N way back for early flower and even eliminated it altogether for the last 3 weeks of flowering.

However, not sure that was a great idea. It may have put things out of proportion. So hopefully their is enough N in the cal mag and the flora gro

Hopefully you will have enough micronutrients. I find that when I drop the Grow in later flowering and increase bloom a little, I get the desired results.
Ive read elsewhere that some drop the grow in late flower too.

Do you adjust the mirco at all? Its basically all N, no?

No because I need those micro nutrients. It really works well, at least for me with big plants, I get the proper yellowing in later flower, buds light green.

RO water specific. Mix CaliMagic FIRST, STIR, then flora micro, gro, and finally bloom stirring WELL inbetween them all.
Works like a dream.

I owe you an apology. When i first did the metric conversion on your amended GH nute chart i fucked up. I redid it on a spreadsheet and found that you are correct. It is significantly different from the manufacturer's chart and the right numbers suggest that it would keep ppms below 700, like you said.
My apologies.

....because stoners are terrible at math :eyesmoke: and NOBODY ever calibrates their ppm meters. (If you tried the calibration solution you just might figure out the math ;) )

so EC rules :-)
Funny thing... i always calibrated my ppm meter cause i have trust issues.
Then i spent the large for a blue lab combo meter with ph and guess what? There no calibration function.
This drives me crazy.
Even though it still checks out close enough in the calb solution... lol

I must admit I have never calibrated a PPM meter but I do have several and if I have questions about a reading I can confirm it with another meter. I have some cheapo meters and a truncheon and I prefer the cheapo ones for most things.

I appreciate you coming back to let me know. Because I didn't wanna fight about it but knew for a fact it was world's different.
