GH Flora trio

So i have been using the GH Flora trio and mixing it according to their charts. It seems to me that the Flora Micro (N) is WAY WAY too much. So i cut it back by 60% for bloom and 50% for veg.

Has anybody else doing the same?

Also, if i mix according to their charts with RO i end up with a ppm that is at the very top of the range and found it too be WAY WAY too much (over feeding probs).

So... i am curious about what adjustments to make and what adjustments other people are making... to keep in the right proportions.

So tell me what mix has been working for you....

Of possible help...
Here are some GH and other nute numbers I've been collecting.
(I use Mega Crop base nutes. Used to use GH Trio.)

Hmmm...

Not looking for manufacturer directions cause they are wsy out of whack. Not really looking for specific breakdowns of the nutes.

More interested in how people are modifying the proportions.

I mean, if i kept following the GH chart my plants would be long gone from N toxicity. I cut that mircro shit back by half and its still too much. So its hard to trust the rest of the chart.

If you want less N then follow the Lucas method. It cuts out the Green Grow altogether.

I've done tons of bubble buckets, NFT, DTW, ebb and flow following the labels just fine but sometimes you have to know where to start. It sounds like you have light feeders.

However, I have a tip that might be useful that can help figure out the ratios for your specific strain but you have to have patience and listen to what they tell you.

It's easier if I know the size of your res, etc but I can post a scalable example with a 20g res, GH and Monster Bloom for a PK kick.

I would start with a light feeding and let the plants respond and talk for 48 hours. I go in and say are you happy (8&2) or sad (7&4)?

If happy and praying then take notes that dose was fine, if sad then give them a kick at that 48 hour mark and make notes that your initial dose was weak.

Perhaps it's easier if I just post my notes from tweaking a particular 8-week strain?

Tag me or quote my post and I will post it.

K those aren't manufacturers directions. Why would you even remotely think that they were?
That chart is from GrowweedEasy and has had DOZENS of people in this forum growing with no problems. I'm just gonna let you figure this out on your own if you're not gonna take advice given to Ya.

If you convert that chart to metric, like i did, and match against the GH chart it is nearly identical.
Who ever made that chart just cut out all the extra product GH had on theirs and turned it into teaspoon measurements for those who wont do the conversion themselves.

Exactly what i am looking for. Personal tweaks.... that'd be cool.

Here yah go. It will give you an idea of dose plus 48hr kick, tweak as needed. I never checked ppm, only PH. It will help teach you what your plant says in response to dosing. Everything below was all done with municipal tap water

May 2011
All formulas are listed in the format:
Catalyst-Bloom-Grow using General Hydropoincs 3-part solution

Each numerical unit represents a capful of solution from the 1 gallon nutrient container. The volume on this cap is approximately 9-10ml
per capful

For example, if your 20G reservoir calls for 3-1-6 that is 30ml Red, 10ml Pink, and 60ml Green

This recipe is for use with a 20 Gallon reservoir! If you use a different size reservoir do your math!!

Vegetative:
Week 1: 3-1-6 or 2-1-4 with a 1-0-2 kick at 48 hours
Week 2:8-2-16 (8-2-16 with a 2-0-6 28 hour kick was a bit strong) Maybe 9-2-20!
Week 3: 16-2-24 (spot on with NO KICK)
Week 4: 20-2-28 (No Kick)
Week 5: (if needed) 22-2-34

Vegetative Notes:
N should end in lower 20's, K should end in low 30's

Flowering:
Week 1: 12-12-16
Week 2: 8-22-8 + 1/2 label strength of Monster
BloomW
3: 8-22-8 + 1/2 label strength of Monster Bloom
Week 4: 4-26 to 28-4 + Full label strength of Monster Bloom
Week 5: 2-30-2 + Full label strength of Monster BloomWeek 6: 2-34-2 + Full label strength of Monster Bloom (36 if frame is rock hard)
Week 7: 2-34-2 + Full label strength of Monster Bloom (36 if frame is rock hard)
Week 8: 0-0-38 NO MONSTER BLOOM!!
5 days flush: Change 100% water, Ph'd every 24 hours.

This tweak above was a NFT table, with plants in 4" or 6" cubes and by the time veg was done the stalks were as far as a US quarter dollar. I can post some pics later

Surprising to me. Baboon when using the bottle formula is above 1000, this chart has never gotten me over 700.

I’ve been using this flora series with a few additives for over a decade. I found that first my plants don’t need over 12-1300 Ppms ever. I normally run (dwc in 5 gal buckets) at 60% strength in veg weeks 1-4 and first 3 weeks of flower. 70% strength at weeks 4- 6 of flower and 80% strength at weeks 7-8 then hit them with dry bloom nute for week 9 and flush week 10. Comes out great every time so far. A little tweak for full indica or sativa but hybrids run perfect on this schedule. This is my white widow at week 7 of flower

This is a 30 gallon mix I use. So divide by 30 to get per gallon adds. My veg mix is the same as week 1.
