Batch no.2 will be going out this weekend, it should have been batch no.3 but al except one of my Feminized Early Skunks were bunk, lost some time but oh well, look at the pic of that puny dinky ass seedling, it's 4 weeks old! The normal Early Skunks are 13 days old, what the hell?... After this batch 6 more bag seeds and then I'll be slowing down on the incubation and will direct my efforts to protecting my plots, been rainy and cold, saw they Guerillas Gusto the other day, 7 out of 9 are fine, not growing very quickly though, the roots should be nice and deep though and they should take off in the next few weeks with temps on the rise...

Update from today as promised, the Early Skunks I transplanted last Sunday are doing great, we've had lovely May weather so far, it's been in the high seventies all week and I even had to water today for lack of precipitation, much of the same next week :) The GG patch is doing well also, they've been out since April 7! They are starting to be stimulated by the warmth and sunlight but I'm afraid in that patch they only get 4/5 hours a day if that, they look kindly lanky but I don't think they're stretched, I've come to understand that this strain is hardy and husky and not too dense, it does this to gain immediate height over other plants, all my plants are in briar / blackberry patches, really rich soil :) I have two Early Skunks left one is going out tonight in a lone spot, and the other seems to be my best so I will pamper it for another 2/3 weeks as I love to look at her, the bagseed is coming along and the puny ass Feminized plant is a freak of nature, stay tuned.... Damnit, GG's pics to follow, must correct dimensions, GRRRRR..... Gimme an hour...

Thanks guys, lets hope that the head start helps to get them nice and big during veg, who knows how many males though... no poison ivy here, that's a briar / blackberry patch that I thinned out, I planted another Early Skunk in a Stinging Nettle patch yesterday, I went to both sites in shorts, what a retard, never again, talk about rashes! Jeez, I guess I'm not used to frolicking around the woods anymore! Bagseed is coming along... Next update with pics as usual...

Still got one almost 4 week old Early Skunk floating around the house, I think I got a nice gardener's shot with the galvanized container, sweet, it would make a cool gift to someone, I'll pamper her for a bit and then out she goes in max 2/3 weeks as my last big girl... The last little wee babies are doing well, even though the Fem Early Skink in the picture is 6 weeks old! WTF? I think that using a lower ph 5.0 - 5.5 for germination is detrimental to their growth, horrible results with acidic soils but wanted to try, 6.0 - 6.5 - 7.0 A Ok, lower PHs stunt the roots like I've never seen before, my ladies thrive, have some slug problems though, will post...

Loading these pics took forever... The Skunks are looking good, one very good and three others are doing quite decently, two have been attacked by slugs and I think one won't make it, I have 6 total on a SSE to SSW slope, the best is the first on the SSE side, gets sun from 6am to about 4/5pm, the GGs are not doing as I had hoped, they only get direct sunlight from about 11:30 to 2ish, argggg, that could change with the summer solstice nearing but it won't do much, my yield in the GG patch will be reduced for sure :( they've been out since early April and there had been beautiful weather lately, oh well, can't choose your spots all perfectly, too many factors, I'm basically growing the GGs in the woods, the Skunks are in a briar patch, will check on my other lone Skunk by Sat and still have the last Skunk under a 400MH as I type, I topped it...

It has been an unseasonably warm/hot May, very little precipitation, starting to become a pain in the ass because I hate watering, I enjoy it when I need to add my ferts but if I have to go to my spot(s) because I'm afraid they're dry it's a real chore, it was supposed to rain tonight but no go, it's been in the low 90's this week, I hope June alternates between sun and rain, the bigger they get the more water they need! Sorry Dr.Commie, didn't go to the GG patch today even though I should water, that's the guerilla patch so I said screw it, but the Skunks are starting to look NICE, all this sun is making the difference, it's not even June and my babies are fat! Death to all slugs!!!!!!!!!

Just transplanted my last big baby girl, I wrapped her up in brown packaging paper and walked her down the street with my backpack full of water and my mini shovel! This last one has been topped, the leaves were starting to turn yellow because I used some crappy soil and didn't expect to have her indoors so long, but I started loving her too much, but today I let the bitch go, spot no.3, we'll see how she perks up in a week or two....

lookin good man, that 3rd pic from the 1st post almost made me cry, the slugs are as bad here as they are there!!! I made that garlic insect repelent, and it seems to be working! so i reccomend it. spray every 2 days or so and the slugs will stay hungry (and hopefully die). But yeh, by GG's arn't as big as your skunks, but theyre gettin big with the weather were gettin over here ^.^

Found my first male and chopped him, not bad to have already intervened by May 31st, the GG patch is already starting to show signs of sex, one of the males was, in fact, in that patch, they are all they same age and I couldn't tell the others for now, considering there are different factors in maturation, I'll be back in a week and any other eventual males will be yanked! I took him home with me 'cause I love the smell, the GGs are dinky for my standards, but they're in the woods so it's normal, the big one is a bitch for sure, she's leaning over quite a bit and will be staked next outing, pulling males gives you a good idea on root mass and reassures you that your others a doing well, the skunks are doing GREAT, can't sex them yet though, I figure another 2/3 weeks and I should be able to identify and pimps among my ladies, Commie, I think these GGs are going to be some long lanky buds.... We'll see!
