Genetics: high yielding in high wind

God Bud is a Cup winning indica. It’s strictly nighttime for me. It’s a couchlocker. Don’t know your Fall climate but sativas sound right for you. Or a sativa majority hybrid. BC is still rocking it. Still producing excellent bud.

Fall climate is moderate, sep is hot, it can get a little rainy in oct/nov, but doesn't usually freeze until late december/january (NorCal sierra foothills)...luckily my sativa cross has dutch passion durban poison in it...it's one of the first to finish. Not sure what the dutch bred into it, but it's def not pure sativa...despite it's streeeetch.

Here is one pheno of my F1 (suuuper frosty, medium sized nugs, wonderful effect/smell). This was September 9th. I think I harvested first 1-2 weeks of Oct. Plant was small because I sprouted late to do some pheno hunting in a small space. Some cupping from 100+ highs in early sep.

...my favorite strain for effect right now is my own cross with two super stretching sativas (not so ideal in this wind, but hopefully the trellising will remedy). The effect is VERY interesting..I feel uplifted in the sense that I have physical energy, but my mind is VERY calm, somewhat focused, but at the same time a little like I'm "caught in between dimensions," colors enhanced, trippy, but not too racy/paranoia (at least for me), very happy...oops, I forgot what I was doing. I've been extracting RSO with iso, dosing 2x per day for ~2 months...still no burnout/tolerance. The smell/flavors coming off are loud AF too...rasberry lemonade, lemon pepper, menthol?... little banana coming out in the cure (6 months now). The frost? o..m..g..

Actually, I would love it if anyone would be willing to test some of the smoke. I can't smoke anymore, since I became allergic after 20 years of bong hits...fml (at least edibles still jive with me). My fam has been loving this strain (actually picked it over many top strains offered in dispensaries), but you never know how much they are just pissing in your pockets, right? I need some good honest opinions, so I can work the line a little. Anyone in NorCal wanting to test it out, hmu!
Here are some trichs after 6 month cure...seriously, if anybody is in NorCal, I'd love to have some real connoisseurs test this out.

paper towel in a plastic bag on top of my cable box.
Good lookin out, I think I'm going back to the paper towel method. I had plenty success with the water in a cup, but I think its too prone to anaerobic spoilage. Almost all seeds popped in 24-48h, but I smelled some funk by 72h on a few seeds i let go. I might revisit the water in a cup with some aeration though...

Hey y'all, got a southwest slope and high winds to boot. Can anyone recommend some killer strains that yield in high wind?

This wind is kicking the shit out of everything I put out there. I'm doing my best to build a wind break, but I don't think I can completely stop the heavy gusts from hitting the plants now and again.

Thanks...
Growing in LA County. Something knocked a branch off of my Tahoe plant a couple nights ago. Might have been the wind. But this particular plant was kind of the runt of the litter. I got it as a clone and it was always kind of stunted compared to the others I planted. IMG_0338.jpg

The Tahoe has been in the ground about a month. The flowers are just from the short day light cycle. Most of my plants are heavy into flower now.

oh, ok, are you in southern hemisphere or doing dep? I'm trying to prevent mine from even thinking about flowering right now.

I'm in SoCal and I turned off the night light about a month ago to let the plants go ahead and flower. I may end up having to move to a new location in a few months, so I wanted to harvest early. If the light cycle screws up the flowering, I'll just have to deal with it when it happens.

I think your days are shorter than mine right now? I don’t think I’d be able to get much of anything doing that up here, my buddy fucked up and put out several different strains throughout March and April and they all began to flower, but stunted and then revegged. Maybe it’s diff in SoCal...

I give my seeds a half hour soak in H202, then right into the soil. Works pretty good.

Nice, that's a great recommendation. Ive done that with seeds (H2O2 soak, rinse, dry) from a mother that got some mildew...seeds ended up with excellent viability...untreated seeds rotted.

Whats you germ rate?

I've had some rot issues myself. I swish everything in a H2O2 wash at harvest time.

But the main reason for using before planting seeds is the extra Oxygen molecule in H202 compared to water's H2O. Seedlings just seem to grow better.

Germ rates vary. I've had some with no sprouts, and some with too damn many.

Nice, reminds me of the germ bomb, give the seed everything it’s SUPPOSED to have, but might need if it’s old or resource limited.
