I didnt know you could grow in straight cow manure but awsome to know!

I will have to try some of this as i have 5 little beasts that are wating for bigger pots and sunshine :)

Awesome...just remember to amend it or to give liquid ferts. It's not hot enough to support the plant without added ferts :)

This season just gone in aust I amended my soil with aged cow manure after seeing your last grow
It works well and that was only mixed into the soil the tap roots I had were huge for my standards.
I am going to triple that amount this year ...
All after watching your last grow :)

Sheep shit is meant to work even better a farmer mate has told me. Something about it passes thru the system faster.
Might be worth looking into at any rate.

Yeah the roots really take off in that! It's just amazing stuff! I saw someone in the organic sections did a side by side test...but they didn't amend the soil at all. The plant grew way faster and bigger but didn't produce enough because it was lacking nutes. I would love to see someone do it that actually did add nutes. :)

Back in the day I used to grow with manure composts for economic rather than ecological reasons. My rule of thumb was 5 gallons of cow manure was the same "hotness" as a coffee can of chicken shit. {coffee used to come in little metal cans for all you young folks}

My soil tests came back around .5/.5/.5
On the npk of the manure. I looked it up and that is about average for super aged manure. Of course fresher is super hot ;)
