Anybody use Galaxyhydro lights? Have been looking at them on and wondered how well 180w ufo would work in a small cab? just looking for personal experience if anybody has any

Dear OP, the 180W thing is a lie, it is more like 100W at best. And yes, cheap chinese crap, get 'em cheap and hang 'em close, and supplement them with more spectrum, like warm white CFLs, or just save up and buy something good.

i think what people need to understand is if you want say 400w worth hps weed then you'll need pretty close to 400w of led to do it and it'll still be 400w of heat to deal with

@KarmaPaymentPlan . I been thinkin that people should go watt for watt. Your still getting the watt for watt heat but its easy to keep stable with good intake/outtake,instead of the intake/outtake and the AC reflectorvetilation

Well newer cobs can do the same job with less power... its possible to reduce the power displacement by 25-50% depending on the emitters of choice. But not every led will allow you to do that

yes that was beautifully done he is an amazing grower he's the reason i bought a51 he did have a monster plant but I'd still like to see more accomplished growers achieving those numbers in more common growing operations

To many variables to say for sure. I'm not a fan of the g/w metric, he may get more dry weight, but would there be a trade off in quality?

that's pretty bold how can you justify that? I can't see how producing more can make it less potent maybe more buds of all qualities simply because a larger yield but buds over all less potent?

Only postulating. I seem to remember mentions of too much light (more than 1500umol) having a negative effect on potency.
I could be wrong.
