G13- Blueberry Gum- DWC Grow

yea actually they look fine to me,ive gotten huge nugs in soil tht wen i was dumping the pot noticed a few had darker roots than the others ,some had a few burnt lookin areas kinda, but were the biggest plants,,roots smell like dirty socks,lol.

Ah, well then no worries-it's definitely not root rot. As mentioned, the pump looks like it's giving those roots plenty of oxygen and the H2O2 obviously helps to oxygenate the water as well. When I used h2o2 I calculated out for my buckets... 11ml/gal 2-3x per week or 5.5ml/gal daily.

Also I just realized, you said you're using Gro and Bloom? Not trying to question you're methods but the Lucas formula is Micro and Bloom so i'm curious, have you had success with gro/bloom in soil? or whatever medium you've used previously?

I went with the Flora Nova because a few people suggested it, along with cal-mag. It's the first time I'm using GH. In soil I use FF's Grow big and Tiger bloom and Drammatic K. Is it normal for the res to turn cloudy w/ white foam and for it to be smelly, kinda stale waterish? lol

That seems like an awfully strange occurrence to me.. not sure how to identify that one exactly. Personally, I use a whole array of additives (Pro-tekt, Liquid Karma, calmag, b52, sensizym, honey hydro) so when i'm done mixing things my water doesn't exactly smell delicious. Anyway, I asked about your nutes cuz if you google "lucas formula" it'll explain how Micro has a good balance that, when used correctly, eliminates the need for GRO. Never heard of just gro+bloom for any type of grow myself

lucas formula uses GH Flora where as I'm using Flora Nova. I was told that I didn't need micro w/Flora Nova. I added 1 tsp of nutes back to one bucket, to see what happens overnight. Overall the plants don't seem to be happy atm. I wish i would have tried a few bagseeds first before throwing in the BB Gum.

Hey peeps...quick update. Sorry my camera crapped out on me so no pics this update....no worries though I will have a new one shortly. The girls are doing alot better. I don't think I had root rot but the slime algae stuff which I've been fighting a bit. I added a pump to one bucket and an extra airstone to the other. We'll see which works better. I know the buckets are light tight so.....? I also have supplies, on the way, to brew some bene tea. My biggest mistake, so far, has been the fact that I didn't have everything that I needed, to start out...especially the ppm meter.

I just started mines in dirt

HEY! I started around the same time as you, those were some mean looking tap roots. Im just growing in a hydro neutral medium of coco and perlite, dwc is too much work :/. 2nd grow around with blueberry gum. IT is a good blend, incredibly sweet scent to wake up too. (My grow is my bedroom cab), I let it veg out tho so I could clone some respectable mothers, should be 5 weeks until its ready for harvest .
