you'd be surprised how much abuse they can take, get us a current pic, in the pics from yesterday they looked fine to me, I doubt its a game over situation, they may look bad but they probally arent, the new pics would really help to confirm if thats accurate or not.

well how did you flush? did you use clearex or anything? did you give each pot at least 3 times the pot size in water?

I don’t want to swerve the thread but I just have to ask a DWC question. I’ve done dirt for almost 4 decades and while I have read bits here and there about other types of growing I never paid all that much attention or thought it was all that worth me remembering so maybe I read it and just can’t remember … but the way a question/suggestion and then its reply were worded made me need to ask.

Being a dirt guy I understand dirt/pot flushing. That is simple and clear to me when it comes to dirt.

As I understand DWC the plants are suspended above a nutrient solution in a net and the roots of the plants are fully submerged in the nutrient-rich water below.

Unless I misread the original message I believe the question was about something being grown in a DWC system.

It was asked/suggested; “flush yet?” … “did you give each pot at least 3 times the pot size in water?” The basic reply was; “yes gave it well more than three times potsize.”

Would someone explain to this dirt dummy how you figure pot size when using a net with some matter in it to hold the plant that would if growing in soil would be where the above soil portion would begin, and the roots of the plant are fully submerged in a solution?

On what is the "pot" volume amount based to then know how much fresh clean water to provide that will be at least three times the "pot" volume amount?

Not having a clue how it is done my guess would have been that some percentage or ratio or amount of the fluid in the reservoir would have been replaced with fresh clean hopefully PH’d water and in steps end up with nothing but hopefully PH’d water, or at least very close to that with possibly some miracle juice you hydro people use and don’t tell us dirt-daubbers about for fear we might find a way to use it too.

I guess I should have just researched it but I thought possibly there might be a short simple answer like a net of a certain size would equate to a certain pot size or something short and easy someone could fill me in on.

If its detailed just tell me to research, I don’t want things to get any more sidetracked then a short simple answer.

I dont know too much about DWC and how it applies here... But that plant just looks thirsty. I dont see any other major problems really...

As i thought, you greatly overestimated the damage, you will lose some leaves but that plant is nowhere near dead and unsaveable. lets get into the details here, what and how much are you feeding, what are your temps at? anything else u can think of that would help us?

Man that thing will lose a bit of yield but is nowhere near dead. Looks like she could use lots of water, but I use soil so might be different for hydro.

You can definitely save her! SO have a happy birthday! haha...
