Yep, like @vostok said, watch those nitrogen levels. That's probably why your girls are so dark green, that dark green is usually indicative of nitrogen toxicity. I haven't used dyna-gro, but I'd think you may be overfeeding them. I always used GH Flora Series as it gives extra control over various aspects of plant nutes. Anyways, that exhaust vent should be attached to a cool tube or whatever hood you're using. If you have enough money, make sure you get a carbon filter as well (if smell is an issue for you, if you're not in a 420 friendly state, it had better be on your mind). Here's a pic of what your ventilation might look like after you've done it right (this 2nd pic doesn't show a carbon scrubber, fyi). Your inline fan should be sucking air OUT of the hood, not blowing air through the hood. Here's a couple random pics I found that might give you an idea of how it works and what it should look like. Notice how the inline fan, which is held up by yellow straps in the first pic, is NOT attached to the hood. This grower probably thought it would make it easier to raise and lower his or her lights. Good luck, buddy.

Thanks man That's a nice looking set up. I'm told I should not cool/vent the Gavita light at all but I see no real reason why a set up like this wouldn't work well. I'll be adjusting a bit trying to set up smartly a little at a time.

No you can't keep it stable it has to be adjusted I would go with a more stable nutrient if you plan on leaving the garden unattended.

Well that sucks. Thanks man. Any recommendations on stable nutrients. I'm running ebb and flow in 3 gallon buckets with about 30 gallons as a target for res. easy enough to add if I mix a little hot.

I really like the jacks 321 formula for coco I have a 55gal drum I've had it filled for like 3-4 days with no pH change. Formula is 3.6 grams jacks hydroponics 2.4 grams calcium nitrate 1.2 grams Epsom salt. You have to fully mix the nutes 1 at a time or the Epsom won't dissolve. I've grown my best nug using that mix start to finish I just half the calcium nitrate the last 3-4 feedings in flower.

what is your EC in a gal of RO with that mix?
i've read that 321 is a pretty solid mix for hydro. might give it a shot one day.
I never check that anymore I don't really see a reason to but the same formula works for me from clone to harvest I was skeptical about it working but after using it i don't think I'll ever use anything else

Whats going on here?
500 PPM on the 500 scale which I really don't get, I didn't realize there were 3 scales.
E.C. is 1.0 again not sure which scale to go by.
5.8 PH
Res is 77 degrees
Tent is 78 deg

Every night, about 15-17 into the 18/6 schedule, the plants look like this, seems like they are shying away from light or something. Got myself a new bluelab meter I'm pretty happy with. It seems like I have all my numbers close to where they should be or are these plants trying to tell me something. Maybe I turned up light to soon???

Thanks alot

Make sure you check pH at least once a day if not twice if your using megacrop
I'm on my second go with Mega Crop, I do dwc and have 0 zero issues with ph fluctuation. After mix I adjust ph about 2 hours after then I adjust the following day and then it's locked in at 6.1 until bucket change. I change out every 7 days. Much more stable than GH or RAW or House and Gardens ever was.

That's so strange I must have somehow got a bad batch I got just under half the yield I usually get and major nutrient lockout from pH fluxuations when I tried using megacrop

Edit: just re-read your post you have to adjust twice before it stays stable? That's rediculous I stand by what I said.

My first harvest with Mega Crop produced more weight than previous grows with the others I'v used. Bad Batch? You should contact Greenleaf nutrients..

Yes I adjust twice, I could most likely get by with one adjustment if I bring it down to 5.5 on first adjustment...but I have time and visit my garden often. Not check your PH once or twice a day everyday like you say to OP. Many people are having excellent results switching to MC, I'v only seen 2 complaints on the Greenleafnutrients thread and Greenleaf has tried to help the 2 people who were having problems. Try and get that kind of customer service from the other guys. Most people are stating increase in yields and ease of use and awesome looking veg and blooms.

Not really worth my time i like the nutrients I use the reason I tried megacrop was if I go on vacation it's easier to leave instructions for a 1 part but if it's hard to pH there's no point in me using it. Most of the good results are From people in veg I've seen several people that actually flowered with it in coco have problems. Also the only good results I've heard about (they never post pics) are from people using double or more of the recommended dosage if you use twice as much it's not as cheap as they make it seem.

Good info. I'm gonna use it with all I've read and its in garage so its mine. I'm on last res of dynagrow and once plants bounce back and look healthy I'm gonna switch to 12/12.

What light are you using? They do look kinda sad are they getting fresh air all day/night?

The Gavita 1000E
Yes plenty of air. I think, I turned light to 1000 to fast. I turned it back one notch waiting to see if that makes a difference late in the day.

Nice! Im sure you will be happy with jacks! Has worked amazing for me for over a year and costs less than $75 to feed 18 plants from clone to harvest.
