From start to finish

Ok, so don't laugh people! But here is my first attempt at a grow room. Lol, I know its pretty comical, after reading and researching the RIU sight Im currently under reconstruction of my room.
My first attempt at growing went well okay. My plants were tall and spindly, I'm guessing this is because of my lack of knowledge in the lighting area. To begin with I had only four 40 watt t12 48 " plant lights. Not to mention for the first couple months I had the lights set about three feet to high.
The plants did flower; small at best fluffy,, but did ice over slightly.
Im working on a little better set up as we speak. Its pretty low cost, however before I invest to must I want to work with what I have.
I have painted all the walls white, added a few lights to my collection, now that I know there are different spectrums involved, added a fan a bench and will improve as I go. I will post new pictures tomorrow with my progress. Comments welcome!:eyesmoke:

hahahahaha! WTF!?!?

J/K it looks pretty good second setup so your going to be behind a lot of the petty mistakes like lights too far and all that stuff. Looks like a really nice setup you don't even got cardboard boxes or books holdin your lights up like most of my grows why would anybody laugh? What you gonna use to flower this time around?

For the flowering this time around I kind of went the cheep way. I bought six cflos 23 watts each bulb is 2700k so as I understand this is the right spectrum for flowering, coupled with the cflos I have four t12 40 watt 3000k 48" lights. Im sure for four plants this set up is not ideal. Im not concerned with yield as much as health and learning the hobby as a whole. Keep checking for new pics as I will be posting some tomorrow. The pics posted now are taken before the romodel.:weed:

Okay, so I couldnt wait. I have a picture of my t flos with the new set up. Each ballest is two tubes. Each ballest has a plant tube wide spectrum combined with a 3000k red spectrum. I will get the cflos set up tomorrow.
Another pic is of the room after painting, And the last picture is of the tinny flowers my first attempt produced.
I will update more tomorrow.

Hang up some reflective mylar on all the walls around your plants and get the lights as close as possible, with floros you literally want the plants as close as possible without touching the actual bulbs. You should get some much denser buds this next time around with the those added cpfs. good luck!

Agreed. Get as many lights as close as possible. It looks like your growing in a basement so I dont know if your going to have much if any heat issues, which is good.

Keep an eye for bugs if it is a basement. You want as clean and sanitized of a grow area as possiblebongsmilie
