Whats crackn peeps.. Hope all is well.. We are nearing the finish line again.. This run was crazy as i pulled 4 plants out during mid veg as they looked duddy to me, and the remaining plants exploded and handled the job of filling the room as needed..

Beautiful work, brother! I wish the HID-faithful who pop up in other threads to talk about how small LED buds are would find there way to this thread.

Here is the next style i will be running.. 1 plant per light.. 700w per 4x4. The white PVC is the top trellis its 4 by 4 each plant will have it. The board spacing is 13" on the rig, and it seems to give the perfect layout and spread.. This will get interesting..

lol, they haven seen nothing yet.. I have 2' bats in the back of the room.. Pic will be taken at harvest and uploaded for all to see..

Size of flowers are dictated on genetic, environment and Light.. Take one out and size will suffer, doesn't matter if your using LEDs or HPS..

    Cheers,

There's a hilarious argument going on in the General forum, about the "lack" of flowering ability of LED.....
I've linked this thread into it, and even reposted that large full room photo up above, hope you don't mind @greengrassgrower1.....
Much ignorance abound when it comes to the capabilities of GOOD LED, I felt in necessary to share your work.....

    Beautiful Plants!

Wish you were in one of the party cup challenges greengrassgrower1.

The best plant in my competition so far is being grown with COB.
The 2nd best plant so far is being grown with CMH.
While most are using LED I am using the dreaded 400w MH at the moment. Don't hate me ;).
Everybody is getting along great. No fighting, just growing. May not last lol.
HID and LED sharing space for over 30 days at the moment and still getting along.
    Probably a record. :peace:

Thanks Chip, maybe somebody will learn a thing or 2.. I think one of the major issues with LEDs and getting the masses on board is the up front cost. Hopefully Peeps can kinda follow some of my builds and create bad ass rigs near the cost of DEs.

Really enjoyed this thread! Very similar style plants as me but I use hp promix/FFOF instead of coco. I also run hps's but want to switch over to quantums. I have two qb 120s now on a diy frame between 2 blockbuster 1k hps's to hit the tops of the plants that are between the hoods.

So I was wondering about your placement of your boards on your diy frames. I'd assume you tried different placements of the 4 boards until you came up with the way you have them. My question is do you think they would benefit at all with 1 more board dead center?

The 6 board setup you made, you believe that is a waste of light and unnecessary compared to 4 board setups?

Are you still using the cobs? If so do you plan on replacing them with another qb setup?

Thanks for any info, I'm just trying to do as much research before changing over completely to LED's.

Yeah, man, it's an inspiring grow. It's all well and good when we LED guys talk specs and the underlying science, but it's results like these that can really show our HID-brethren what COBs/QBs/strips are truly capable of.
