From DEs to LEDs

Your using 20 percent less power and your A/C is cranking even harder? Thats honest and fair to say right?

A watt from an LED and a watt from HPS create the same heat. In my 8'x8' room i went from 4k of HPS to 2400 watts of LED. So my power usage for lighting went down 40%..

Now with 40% less heat means the AC needs to cool 40% less.. Same yields less power used.

You really have no clue do you?
None. I don't even grow. I don't even show pics with all different types of lighting with lab results. I haven't even showed pics of cobs and QB boards with plants under them.
All you do is run your mouth with your agenda. You hate it when people cross talk what you believe in. It would be a lot easier if you showed pics of your bud so we can see what your talking about.
Many people are growing fine bud under LED including me. Go look. When you start talking better quality then other type of lighting you are going to get called out. Ive been called out many times on here and in just. You are just rambling your agenda a little to hard.

No shit? You ran 4 DE's in a 8x8?

This is Pie Face.. She is one of the strongest stains. She has a little sweet and some gassy smells to her.. Its starting to grow on us!

Alright all have a great weekend and a Safe 4th of July.. Peace
Oh man.. Pie face is the strain that got me busted. Early flower and the neighbors called the cops and claimed they were throwing up because of the smell, 10 years of growing and the first time anyone complained. I wish I could've harvested them.

You'll only confuse him with the facts.

Whats the light at the top heat lamp or DE? Seperate drying room?
No same room.. That location uses 8 lights. All were DE.. We started the conversion to LEDs after seeing what they could do in our smaller rooms. That run in the photo we used 6 600w LEDS rigs and 2 DEs set at 750w for a side by side.. Not a very good one as we had alot of light over lap.. Either way the LEDs killed it.. They filled the 4x4 square so evenly, and the HPS 4x4 squares had more of a cone shape plant with the peak of the plant directly under the bulb.. Another reason i love LEDS.. Not only do they put out more photons per watt, but you can spread the light out for an even spread over your target area..

@greengrassgrower1 Sorry I know this is an old thread but I was curious about a few things....
What color temp and cri are your cobs and qbs at? Are you keeping your lights at a fixed height and letting the plants grow into them? Also do you think the red/far red rapidled kit helps with anything other than speeding up flower? Lastly, I have a 3x3 so that kit wouldn't fit, do you think it's possible to wire that one bar worth of lights into two bars with custom heatsinks if I can even find them?
Thanks!

I'm considering the switch from de fixtures to leds and being "uninitiated" in the led field this thread was perfect, thanks op. Your comment is comforting as I hope to achieve similar yields and quality with the same wattage in the flower room. Currently run perpetual in a iws f&d/dws system Room is currently 5.2k and yield around 20 pounds every 10 weeks with co2 enrichment. From the sounds of it I can expect similar or better yields without a loss of quality. I don't have the steel to built my own cobs or anything so I'm opting for high end prebuilt led fixtures as start up costs are a non issue. Are there any pitfalls you can envisage for the changeover considering all variables should be the same (environment, genetics etc.) apart from the different light fixtures. I know I will have to spread coverage more evenly with maybe more fixtures but other than that I look forward to this transition. Any help or insight is greatly appreciated.
