Free Form L-Aminoacids +LEDs = WOW!!!

Calling a lot of BS on that paper and MOST of the conclusions presented about 'amino acids' effects on plant physiology.

We had this discussion 10 years ago. Amino Acids mostly feed bene's is the PROVEN conclusion.

The ag industry isn't really jumping on board because it will lower their production, so our slow degradation of soil continues unabated. Monsanto is still pushing the sterile dirt + roundup as an alternative. Most people by now realize its simply poison.

The answer these guys are looking for are staring them in the face. Mychorrizae and bene's. If you are feeding them aminos and you've got some sympathetic myco spores or benes: boom. I'm very disappointed there is no detailed root structure comparisons. And no accountability in monitoring these 'bene' factors.

Can you imagine them mass spraying cytokinins or BAPs on field crops? Anyone have any idea how biologically toxic this stuff is?

Star dust, if you have no controls, you have nothing reportable. Period. No controls: no science.

Long term myco inoculation into crops, done as a matter of crop preparation, usually by growing a very sympathetic plant and establishing the mycelial network throughout the soil is the ideal. Current limitations however have shown that even low grade phosphorous enrichment will destroy the bene's. -Also, depleted soil will require remediation time between crops. <--That's a big reduction of output. So, they're gonna keep burning that soil.

At least the farmers are well aware of this issue. They do detailed soil composition and rather precise NPK dosing. There's still time and hope.

I wish the solution would be hydroponics. But even a brief cost analysis damns that solution. We simply require a lot of good soil to feed humanity.
Agree that without controls there is no proof in this case that the addition of aminos resulted in improved growth. Could be a great pheno, could be better mycor and bene support (which also could be from the aminos) or other factors. Two thing stand out though. We have a highly experienced grower who knows the strain well, is seeing significant growth improvement over what he would expect, and that plant is looking flat out incredible. Certainly good directional info that indicates a full blown test with multiple plants and controls is needed, unless that already exists somewhere - which it probably does. Do you have any links, Masterpiece, that could help us out? Whether the benefit is from direct absorption by the plant or better beneficials support is irrelevant to the casual grower who simply wants to know if it is worth using the aminos, but some of us are trying to understand as many of the dependent variables as possible and HOW they work so I hope we dig deeper. BTW, one plant and one control would be more insightful, but a larger scale would be far more scientifically accurate. Thanks for this thread......some good stuff!

Theres nothing to explain that isn't common knowledge. These people are looking for 'shortcuts'. They want to use plant growth regulators to enhance yields.. Sounds ok. But if I feed you with a very unnatural blend of growth regulators, you think that's going to be good thing? If they introduce this into our food supply, that's EXACTLY what will happen.

I said the same thing about corn syrups. Its a falsely metabolized sugar and it's effects led to the obesity epidemic. You won't see that on the evening news. But the controls make it obvious: Everywhere they allow unadulterated artificial sweeteners you get a percentage of the population that gets FAT. Where its outlawed: no obesity epidemic. Their metabolism got fucked. 4bn a year industry in the US. They wont change the laws.

Now its roundup. And now autism is happening in what percentage of kids? Look at our controls? Oh, its replicated in India? And spain, And awww fuck, all of Europe. Its been banned in over 50% of EU now btw as Seralini continues his crusade. In America we get autism babies and cancer spikes and how many industries with products contaminated by glyphosate? Yet roundup is sold at every home depot with no end in sight.

What you're interested in: Maximum yield. Biggest flowers? The formula is simple: readily available nutes at appropriate levels and accessibility, which itself is regulated by pH. Transpiration happens everywhere on the plant. You guys know what happens to swamp roots, soil compositions or mediums must have good transpiration characteristics. Finally, light and temperature. Sounds complicated? Not really.

You guys already rule this arena. NOBODY matches MMJ growers zeal for maximizing yields. You guys have mastered it already. Theres a few variations but they all do the same thing for the max yield.

Coco and perlite has the best transpiration characteristics. Even benes don't do much to increase these yields. Plants have a maximum 'drive' rate. They will not get infinitely better as conditions improve, but rather closer to their optimum potentials. This is why black gold soil (talking top grade 3-5 year inoculated soils- all natural benes and myco colonized) is really the only type of soil types that come close to yields from a simple coco and perlite mix.

Keep your conditions regulated and you will bring out the best in plants. Look for variations and desirability: breed until satisfied.. Will some shortcuts work? Some PGRs do things like activate the plants immune system, so it tends to be stronger, hardier.. But what happens when a pathogen or disease or virus infiltrates them then? Your shortcut is self-defeating. Not to mention the hormone disruptor chemicals we put in our environment from all the runoff, which poisons everything..

In the conspiracy forums, its pretty much all viewed as Agenda 21 stuff. Intentional programs to curb humanity.. Very Malthusian. Kinda like dumbing down the population intentionally with lead additives in fuels. Worth mentioning..

Want max yields though? Check out organic peeps and what they do. They have mastered it. Chemical feeding is way easier though. Drip to waste on coco? Easy, efficient. Drain and fill, geolite? rockwool? ditto. They all work very well.

DWC? Man, I can't believe how many people want to overcomplicate this..

Amino acids? Myco is cheaper. So is a kelp formulation and it will do the same thing. (feed benes).

This is a great discussion with a lot of knowledgeable people chiming in.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the additional said ability of amino acids to chelate calcium? That is supposed to be the major usage in commercial ag for tomato end rot and lettuce tip burn. Obviously calcium is of interest for the crop at the center of attention on this site.

Then there is fulvic acid. I had read that fulvic can open a "calcium ion channel" in plant roots. Wonder if there are any studies to back that one up?

And then there are the products derived form hydrolyzed soy protein which do not advertise as being "amino acids", but when I inquired was given amino acid content percentages that I suppose are naturally occurring as part of the hydrolyzing process?
I am curious how available that soy nitrogen is to plants if it were added straight to a hydroponic system

I've used unflavored whey protein with good results.

@stardustsailor have you looked into paramagnetics? Now that is some interesting stuff there. I know a few guys experimenting with it and the results I've seen in low wattage situations is surprising thus far.

"Opinions are like @$$holes .Everybody has one ."
:hump::hump::hump::hump::hump:
Day #40.

This strain,normally,from now and on,
is supposed to enter the so called "heavy flowering "stage.
Maybe because of this particular pheno (In such case I do owe a big fat "Thanx ,to all The mighty Gods up there ),it might be those awesome 250 Watts from the Veros ...Or the mighty recipy of the organics I've made:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap: and put in use ..
Or the combination of them ...:bigjoint:

Oh ...Those amino acids ,have just nice smell ...
That's why I use them ...
For the smell ...:wall::wall::wall::wall::wall: ....And only
But in case of olive trees down here ....:fire::fire::fire::fire::fire:
The quantity of harvested olives is ALL THE TIMES 35-75% larger (than "usual" per tree ),
using aminoacid waterings .
Quality of produced virgin olive oil is all the times from "superb" class and upwards ..
Same goes with vineyards and grapes and wine and raisins and spirits derived from ....
Same with potatoes ...
And with many other organic or not cultivations ...
Nah ...
In Cannabis can be used just because it smells nice..
At least that's the reason I use for ..
Here ..I admit it !

About 40 days left until harvest ....
I will keep feeding with amino acids ...
Just because I really like the smell of that $hit ! ..
And maybe because I've seen their effects & crops of other species ...
;-)

Despite the severe Mg lockout at the substrate due to the low pH ,still tries her best ...
I just hope that she'll make it for another 40 days ...
The casualties were severe already
( more than 15 leaves have been removed ,more than 10 are in bad shape ).
................................................
Buying a 1 liter bottle of free form L-amino acids ,will cost about $10 ..
Far from declaring bankruptsy to the most of us .
I do not expect to get an award ,be rich or famous ...
Not even a single "Thank you for the tip ! "
Just buy the fu...nky ..bottle of your choice (or available ) and see with your own eyes ...
(Of course those that they wish so ....)

I do not have a control plant ..
You people never used or seen with your own eyes what happens, when utilising them ...
Am I right ?

Can we just call it even now and move further on ?
bongsmilie

Thanx ..
Cheers.
:peace:

Those are some beautiful flowers SDS!

Rich compost, worms, and enzymes will always deliver amazing growth!

Has anybody messed around with turpentine? I have read some article where people drink it. It is a wood extract. I wonder if it would fry the plant?

would this be something like what your talking about ??
http://bragg.com/products/bragg-liquid-aminos-soy-alternative.html

I Used to use this on my food as I'm wheat sensitive & soy sauce has wheat
& this "was" touted as a soy sauce replacement
But the process to get the beans brokedown comes with a cancer concern due to acid used
BUT I not calling this stuff out as a bad additive to a plant food , just will not directly consume it myself
I have found real soy products that are naturally produced for my eating use ( Tamari )
that is not processed in such a way that cause the suspect compounds like the above Bragg.
google = bragg amino controversy
the natural Tamari tastes Way Way better than the Bragg by a long shot & that also had alot to do with me stopping buying the Bragg

@stardustsailor,
Thank you for this post, it is very interesting. I am curious to see if the PH problems will negate the gains in the end. If she survives the full flowering cycle she looks like a winner.

Cheers,
Will

It definitely does look like strong growth.. but I doubt it has anything to do with the amino acids. Amino acids in soil is just N that hasn't been converted to ammonia yet.

About the Magnesium deficiency... Maybe this has magnesium in it:

Superthrive..

I know it works. I just can't bring myself to use something whose ingredients are a complete mystery and secret. For like 60+ years! Very interesting stuff however. WW2 they used it extensively for field camouflage operations in which they would transplant a lot of vegetation: superthrive helped. Ditto with higher salt soils: helped plants adapt. They have Army and Navy endorsements..

Illegal in 2 states. How CA isn't one of them, I'll never understand. Definitely unregistered and known insecticide in there, definitely some root hormone regulator too.. They added kelp recently.

Meh. I would just use kelp treatment myself. Cheaper AND known ingredients.
