Foxtailing

Hi..my weeds foxtailing and im desperate to stop this..im not far from harvest and am shitting bricks.
There was some fucktard on here tellin my crappy stringy plant was not close enough to the light (was at 40cm), now its 30 cms away from the light (1000w hps)... i did move the plants to a new location recently..not sure if this made it happen?... is it possible to cut the tail off?

Heat is the #1 reason for foxtailing and some strains do it naturally. High levels of potassium can contribute also.

My room is bang on 26° constantly. It does however only seem to be happening to the colas closest to the light..is it safe to gently bend the colas to get them away from the light a tad?

Just raise the light if you can. I wouldn't bend them.

You should check the temp close to the light, thats where it matters not room temp but temp at cola level under the light

If you can TIE THEM down without bending the stalk a ton, you're probably okay. But your being close to the bulb is definitely the culprit.
But the damage is done. You can pluck the long tails off if you want, but it's pretty much a lost cause. It'll still smoke great! Just won't look the best.
