Do you have a nursery close by? If so -go there---They have grade perlite in big bags for cheap...

I like to put a layer about 1-2 inches thick of perlite on the bottom of my pots for drainage, and sometimes mix OF at about 4-1 with perlite. But you do not have to add anything to the OF it is fine on it's own too.

So there you go kid. Add perlite or don't. Use Big and Chunky or don't. Buy it at Wal-Mart or not.

If you aren't getting big and chunky, the brand name doesn't matter. Make sure it says 100% perlite and you are good to go.

..thank you...ive been trying to press that also...just because you dont have a growstore you dont have to gow to walmart....chances are if there is a wal mart in your town...there is a nursery or garden supply...

Just use the OceanForrest by itself, if it aint broke dont fix it IMO
