Fox and Criminal Probe of BP

Fox is portraying, "across the board", the criminal probe of BP as a political stunt by the White House to cover their culpability in the BP oil spill. Evidently the White House culpability lies in it's apparent indifference to the spill, lack of action, lack of leadership, lack of regulation.

So Fox would have the White House NOT probe into the spill. In other words, Fox would have the White House continue with inaction.

Well not really. The White House has been intimately involved in resolving this issue. Fox just wishes the White House would display an inappropriate response.

BP knew as long as 11 months ago that there were major problems with the Blow out valve. they bypassed their own safety procedures and the recomendations of their own engineers who advised them that there was a major problem. When they tested the BOV they even reduced their own standards by 1/2 the normal PSI tests to ensure that the operation was given a green light. BP is culpable and their own internal emails and documentation is proof. FAUX news is nothing but the mirror of BSNBC

This whole thing is a tragedy and unfortunately, like most similar tragedies, the real perpetrators will go unpunished. This is because of the maze of b.s that any investigation will have to navigate. For example BP was leasing the rig from Transocean who contracted the rig to be built by Halliburton, etc..........Sad really. And surely the fingers will point in even more directions since the Mineral Management Service has oversight here and they are comprised mainly of industry insiders. Another example of regulators being too cozy with the industries they are supposed to regulate. Can anybody say Conflict of Interest?

Well, I guess I can't blame FOX really. After all the negative press that Bush got for Katrina you'd have to figure someone would have to do the same to Obama. My problem now is that I've heard more about Haiti relief from the government than anything they are doing for the oil spill. It seems they are putting all the clean-up on BP's shoulders, and that's nice and all except a month later we still have no progress. I am just confused why this problem, with all our resources, is not fixed.
