See when you count nodes mate, do the baby leaves count as one ....?

in simple terms mate if u want 2 tops, let 2 lots of side branches start to grow take the bottom set off and let the top ones grow, if u want 4 main colas let 3 lots of side branches grow and do the same thing, like i said b4 its a piece of piss mate, and u will see at least double ur normal yield i can assure u. i started it 2 grows ago and the 1st time i got 8 oz from 4 plants altogether vegged for 3 weeks, last time i got 6 males out of 6 plants (that was 1 of them in my last pics they were vegged 6 weeks), but my 6 that i go just n have all been topped for 4 main colas, the exo clone i got gonna have 20+ tops when i eventually flower her, will be a proper bush

Thats some return for veg time and only 4 plants thats what I would like

Was reading through the thread and your plants look really great! Hope you keep it updated for re-vegging after the harvest cause I'm very curious as to how it goes- and thanks for posting that Re-vegging After Harvest link, very useful!

Right well bloody freezing here, Was battling the heat up there in the summer now I've got a fight against the cold...?
went up and checked my Thermometer and it's reading 13Celsius......
So I am going to take that bar heater back and get the bigger size hopefully that should warm it up more....

I thought they were taking a bit longer to flower, I read that if its below 20c can stunt growth....... :neutral:

I saw you went to 18/6, y not just veg 24/7? I've heard mixed opinions on this and don't have claim of own as to which "right", but just curious to know what think about it?

yeah I would use 24hr lights on from seeds again and change again the same way, I think they need a bit of dark time plus saves the light being on constant, but hey thats just my opinion ....

Got the heater changed....

Now I am going to need to keep a eye on it all day incase it gets to hot in which case I am going to need to use it on a timer ....
The joys of climbing a step ladder and jumping in to a loft a dozen times, but hey it's gonna be worth it to get this right

I went with 2 sizes up from the old Heater £25, hopefully this works .......

started training the branches on my topped girls 2day mate heres a pic for reference so u get an idea what to do when the time comes, i have topped for 4 main colas

Alright Gary, looking good mate ......

Right decided that I want to have four colas on two that are way ahead on growth and two colas on the ones that are smaller....

Could do with your advise, if you think I could start the four cola ones now .....?

might as well put a update on and you can see, the first too are the ones I am thinking of doing, what do you think?

they all look a little small mate i would give them at least another week b4 topping them, u dont wanna remove anything when their as small as that they need all the green they can to grow bigger, how many days from seed are they again? i thought u said they were around the 3 week mark same as mine but urs look a good bit smaller than mine, what light u using?

Aye mate thats 2 weeks 3 days since germination......

I was gonna put this in as I got it wrong from the start they are with 3 x 35w Cfls & 1 19w so about 8015 lumens .....

Thats that heater been up there a hour and it's changed only 3c.
I put Insulation on top and side of the tent to try keep the warm in ......

Thanks for the advice - My Last grows I was just using fim and super cropping and not training them and they didn't look great, I like that way you are doing it, loads better, looks professional ......

Heres my first ever grow and when I joined this site, for those interested, you can see what I mean with the super cropping and not training ......

yeah im only on day 21 from germ,

if u want my advice m8, id ditch the cfls and use ur 400 hps for vegging the cfls will take much much longer to get to a decent size plant, my 6 are under a 400w dual spec hps for veg and as u can see the difference in size between our 2 grows is almost dbl. use the 400 to veg and flower or even get a 600 for flowering time, will also help with ur temps as the hps is warmer than cfls, if u do this i garantee u will see a big difference in ur plants within a cpl days

Ano mate but I've only limited space in my cupboard and my flowering plants are using the 400....

I could take them up at night when it comes on for 5 hours .....
Suppose I could alter the cupboard ...

or buy another hps, u can get a good one on ebay for £50, ballast, reflector and bulb either 400 or 600w,

Thats the plan mate but a 600 for the flowering, but cash tight the now not had much jobs on hence sitting on my arse now ....
Wait see what I get out this harvest I could always chop it early ....

i know the feeling mate been out of work a while myself now thats why i went back to college this year feel like a kid again not been in college for 11 years lol,

and thats what i did tbh mate i chopped my last grow 2 weeks early and sold all of it fast and used the cash to buy a whole new perp setup,

Do you think mines look ready .... I think I could and probably be better than the shit some folk punt ...
I will post pictures later, when lights come on,let me no what you think and I will decide what to do, they were only wee things anyway weren't my real grow that I fooked ...... Pity those weren't good and I would of been sound ...!
