Hi I'm new never grow hydro always soil want go hydro found this need help with set up I find it strange way they shaped it a d where they put connection if you could help

Just my 2 cents.......
Throw it away, it looks dirty, moldy and cracked.
From personal experience I've found that plants do not like going from soil to hydro (stress), so I'd say let the girls finish in dirt, and outside. It really sucks if you bring outdoor pests inside.

First time Hydro, I say keep it simple, DWC bubbler is cheap & easy.

I plan to clean up of course and bring inside and I would be putting clones in it

If you don't have something like a cold concrete floor for your res to set on, you will likely need a chiller. If you can keep the water temps at or below 70F, you can probably get by with just adding beneficial microbes. But if your water will routinely get above 70F, your chances of root rot sky rocket and your overall speed of growth will be reduced because warmer water has less of a capability to hold O2.
*EDIT* One thing that helps me get by without a chiller is, at lights off, bringing the ambient room temp down to about 60-62F. The water's temp slowly drops to the low 60's, and by lights on it's usually right at 60-62F. This way, by the time the lights run 12 or 18hrs and kick back off, the water temp has only risen to about 68-70F. Good luck!

this runs well for u I find everyone has something bad yo say about nft how big van u get them roots are no problem

Well it works fine, those pipes are 110mm about 4½ inches in diameter, you can always go bigger, but roots in this setup do not necessarily clog up the system if you have not too many plants in them. Plus its a whole lot more silent than dwc buckets eg, but to each their own...
