I iscrog4food Active Member Aug 2, 2010 #3 your not talking about flushing... your talking about leaching which basically means feeding water until there is runoff. if you flushed every other watering then you would have no nutes in the soil and it would be a huge waste of $

N noxzious Well-Known Member Aug 2, 2010 #4 Right? So you leech before your next feed basically? Does flush mean to put 3x amount of water to the size of the pot? My reason is i thort you had to get rid of excess salts and wondered how often you should do this and how to do this....

Im taking it now you Feed once, then when it dries out water with plain water untill no nutes are in the run off?

Anonymouse Active Member Aug 2, 2010 #6 I use ebb/flow with Rockwool and Hydroton in netpots, I flush them out every 2 weeks. Builds up fast on the medium/rocks.

Anonymouse Active Member Aug 3, 2010 #9 Yeah, I've heard that once/month is good for soil so that works out to 2-3 times during the duration of your flowering. Also, leech it out very well when moving from veg to flowering.
