Hello All,
I have watched a few of these plants grow and here's something I have been wondering about that I hope growers more experienced than I am will comment upon.
My speculation is that the most important determinant of flower size and height is the relationship of a particular flower's branch to the plant's central trunk. That is, primary branches grow directly off the trunk, and secondary branches grow off the primary branches, and so on. It looks to me like a flower at the terminus of a secondary branch tends to reach very similar size and height as the flower of any other secondary branch, regardless of which primary branch it grew off of.
Further, it seems that greatest disparity in height exists between the primary and secondary terminus flowers, with the secondary and tertiary terminus flowers being closer to the same height.
Does this strike others as being true?
