hi everyone just wondering would it be alrite to veg with my 400w hps flower bulb ???? what will happen if i do ???

It will work fine. You can also throw in a CFL or flourescent (5000+ blue spectrum) in there close to the plant if it will really make you feel better.

yeah thats cool but will it affect anything because it will be a flower bulb as i dont have a blue veg bulb so it will be 18/6 and 12/12 with the same bulb ... any bad effects or loss off yield ????

Under a MH u will notice tighter internode spacing, and more vegetative production.
HPS causes plants to stretch a little more, but still proves time after time to be good for vegging and great for flowering.
Before I would worry about a MH, I would make sure that the rest of the grow room was up to date. Get the bulb sometime down the road, to fine tune your grow.
