Florescent Auto Grow

Thanks man. They're in little pots and I gave them that CFL veg for the first few weeks and it kept them really short. The tallest is 8 inches. I'm a newb sort of so my next batch will be even better. In your pics the bulbs seemed too far away, you need them right next to the plants. if you have a fan blowing on them and can hold your hand under the light for a minute without it being too hot you're fine. CFLs light strength rapidly diminishes after a few inches.

Even with those white walls half the light comes out the other side, after that couple inch bounce off the wall the light has been dispersed greatly. Reflectors, tight spaces, fans.

i made a hood for the 105w cfl and ghetto rigged it to my other hood for the 125w, so now i have both plants under the same lights.
the smaller cfl isn't crooked it just hangs down a little.two of the autos from the new batch sprouted and there in the fridge that the pakistan was in. i didnt label them during germination so there either blueberry, royal bluematic, pineapple express, S.A.D., or northern lights.

switchin it up..
so i got the 250w hps setup on the two autos today, and planted the strawberry cough and purple widow under the cfls where the autos were.
here's the grow room..

and here's the new hps setup, does the light look far enough from the tops?

auto bomb on the left, pakistan ryder on the right. indica vs sativa

because you didn't have them under much light in the beginning. And the pots are pretty small, you want auto's in at least a 10Ltr. Would'nt worry too much though at least your gona have something to smoke on untill your new projects harvest. Just hold your hand under the light mate and if it is'nt too hot for your hand after a while then they will be sweet. keep it up mate looking forward to seeing these new ones.

if your using CFLs, its more about the color spectrum (k) than lumens, yes lumens are important but you'll need 5k-6500 kelvin (k) for veg (early summer) and then more around 2500k for bud (late summer) i have simple t5 4' fixtures over 18 starts, and two 100w 5000 k cfl bulbs....lush green new growth....

I thought autos only needed one spectrum either 6500k or 2700k I have 6 2700k's in my room

i had some pretty crazy shit happen today. so i started germinating two seeds about a month ago, strawberry cough and purple widow. neither of them sprouted so after a few weeks i gave up on them. i stopped watering them about two weeks ago, but left them in the grow room so i guess it had enough light to sprout in completely dry soil. today i noticed a skinny little sprout with hair leaves instead of tear drops hah. (super skinny rather then round)
this plant has a very strong will to survive, so i hope it grows nice and strong.
