Does florel work with strains throwing nanners out? I had a strain that came out very nice but had some nanners that were potent and I found some seeds in her and a plant next to her also. If anyone has some info about this product and how much to use it let me know. Thanks in advance

There used be a troll on here that ranted about that shit nonstop. No real growing experience other than half-ass regurgitated advice from other grow forums.
IME, its best to skip the sprays and just don't stress your plants. If you see a couple balls, just pluck em. The symptoms will disappear in the future cuttings.
If its a full on herm its trash anyway and should be binned.

I saw a growhouse youtube on it. seems it is permant to future generations. To be safe. I would spray a veg plant. Let it grow and take a clone from new growth. Then trash the sprayed plant. No sense smoking it.

I can’t find anything about whether this product is unsafe. It’s not to be used on flowers or at least common sense would indicate that. Mainly used in veg or first weeks of flower

Active ingredient is ethephon. It speeds fruit ripening and flower formation. Myself I'd never use it or any other synthetic PGR on cannabis plants I grow for consumption. The only thing I'll spray on cannabis other than neem during veg is an STS solution to reverse a female to make pollen. And that plant gets tossed afterwards. I myself don't know how it affects the final cannabis product if at all but it's not needed so I don't use it. The people wanting to use it because they keep getting hermies would be better of fixing their grow environment because environmental factors are likely the root cause. It's better to fix the problem than to treat the symptom.

"It is moderately acutely toxic by the oral, dermal and inhalation routes (Toxicity Category III), and does not cause skin sensitization. An organophosphate pesticide, ethephon caused plasma cholinesterase inhibition in a 16-day oral human study and clinical signs of toxicity in a second study."

Thanks for the info. If it was an environment issue I would be glad and I could change it. This plant however was vegged for a long time but she grew wonderfully. First time growing her though.

Has anyone used either of these products for hermies? are they basically the same thing? I ordered a bottle of the florel since its cheaper for now.
Switch did not work at all. Florel at low dose did nothing. Florel at maximum dose sprayed every day almost completely stopped Flowering. A month in and they looked to be 1.5 weeks. It still hermied. I also strayed it directly on nanners growing from inside the colas. Still got seeds. Still got nanners. This was a natural born hermi from an extrema that hermied. I cloned it kept around to test switch florel and reverse. Reverse worked best producing a few seeds. Florel delayed flower production but picks up still hermied. Switch I tried 3 times and it does nothing

Hmmm.... I bet you did not mix it right, adjust the pH correctly or you had a bunk bottle of Florel. I have used it for 3 years straight and it always works perfectly. If used correctly, it should have taken care of the issue for sure.

How did you mix the Florel, if you don't mind me asking..?

I mixed it in many many many ways. The bottle is huge and it's actually my 3rd bottle. And tried many times over 8 years.

If it works perfectly for you I am MORE than willing to try YOUR specific mix. So feel free to instruct
