The difference in buds between soil and aero from the same mom looks noticeable. wow. Thats something I should try. Then again, soil... no ty. :peace:

Yeah I much prefer aero and hydro grown bud.I prefer the taste look and time to do so.I also find aero yields higher

Well I went in and picked a few of the best tops to pull for harvest to see what we have going on. I took tops off 3 of the plants and manicured them for hanging. I usually like to yank most of a plant but this grow is gonna be a 2 or 3 stage harvest to get the max yield out of since it took so damn long as anyone who soil grow knows. This will be the last soil grow for me for awhile I think other then mommies lol.Anyways after trim and manicure the 3 tops gave a wet weight of right at 9 oz which is right where I wanted to be at per plant and this was just the top main colas from 3 I didnt touch the rest on each of the plants so Im gonna say each plant is in the 4-6 oz wet weight range so that should give me the dry 2 oz per plant I was aiming for will know after final harvest and dry.Anyways hers a few shots of the tops I did take. Will post more as I have them..

Looking nice indeed...FF what do you add to the MG soil? I picked up 2cf at Walmart 4 days ago and the shit was so moist I could squeeze water out of it? Is that normal for the Moisture control brand? This was the stuff they stocked inside the store, middle of the pallet. I assume it didn't sit out in the rain for days.

I dont add anything to the MG mOisture control soil. I put my clone and its starter rockwool cube right in the soil in 3 gallon pot as soon as the roots pop out the cube.I bury the whole little 2 inch cube then all the plant gets is 6.8 ph water all through veg and then about week 2 I did add a little indonesion bat guano tea for 3 weeks onces a week and added molasses durning flower starting week 1 every other water and then the last 2 weeks was pur 6.8 water with a light mix of humboldt countys gravity to help harden the buds up..ps there were 17 plants not 10 on this soil grow.I havd just taken tops off 7 of the 17 leaving 10 more to go plus the lower and middle nugs from all 17 so just the tops from 7 plants was at 17 wet oz but Im sure of the 7 I took tops from there is still twice as much left on those as the top cola weights so Im thinking gonna be around 41 wet oz from the first 7 plants leaving 10 more full plants to go so gonna guess around the 100 or so wet oz area total which if its there Im gonna be right on my goal for this yield but it takes way to long but it is fun to see big colas again since they are bigger in soil just not as many ad the soil buds have much more leaf to the buds but they are solid and covered in sugar and smell nice and citrusy..Ill update totals later on this journel..almost forgot DND yeah sometimes you can get a real wet bag especially if it might have been in some rain or under some snow before it got brought inside. I f you think its too wet as in you squeeze it and water comes pouring out then leave the bag open for few days and let some evap. It is a moist soil by design so it should be able to be squeezed into like a dirt snowball. You dont have to water often at all.At most I was watering once a week in full out flower

Thanks Fletch, I separated the bag into 3 containers and am letting it sit out for a day or so. I'm rotating it ever so often and it seems to be drying out a bit. Good to hear about the watering cycle with this soil.

Congrants on the yield, can't wait to hear the final dry weight.

Tried to rep you, but I have to spread it out before giving it to you again. I repped you when you made historical DIY aero setup which was months ago...oh well, i tried. Know that I appreciate it.

Ok had a pic or 2 of some tops hanging to start some drying.Havent taken more pics of anymore top colas.Looks good though and the plant really liked the big colas coming off and now each plant has about 10 tops each which are growing and filling in so I will gain some good secondary weight from those anyways heres the couple tops I first took just hanging slowly starting to dry.I will do a light clean up manicure in a few more days then give them a day or 2 on screens then 2 days in brown bags then should be ready for jars to start a cure.
