I was wondering what jypsydog was going to say cause i know he runs the Ag

hydroguard is 21 for a quart
southern is 18 for a pint

southern is a min of 1x10(10) power of colony forming units per mL per the label of strain D747

Remember those are minimum analysis, not what is actually in the bottle.
They are also using different methods of analysis. Different strain, too.
Mixing each one with water and analyzing under a microscope is quite revealing.

I can go check the bottle after a while
Cant remeber if it has a strain designation number though

The biggest difference in the "products" to me is the benefit beyond root health.
The Hydroguard strain will have a positive increase in trichome/resin production, highly pronounced when used at 3-4 ml/gal. I found this out by accidental overdose years ago.
This doesn't happen with any dose of the Southern Ag version.
What is also cool is that you can use a small fraction of the Hydroguard suggested rate to maintain root health in problematic situations.

thanks to wiki:

it's 10 thousand vs 10 billion. i think we found our winner: southern ag
You found a winner on wiki. I found one in my garden!
They both work. One works better on paper. One works better in use.
Were your side by side results different from mine?

same bacteria, more concentrated, less needed, cheaper overall. southern ag wins no matter how you argue it.

I didn't argue it, I tested it.
An effective dose of Southern Ag is about 2 cents/gal (.5ml).
A Hydroguard full dose (more effective) is also about 2 cents.
