Fist LED grow

depend on ages and light system/Par light and how you did your part etc. but I had a few "of them" and +3 oz would be a good guess, but with out pictures and more info its hard to say

Quick question mate. It looks like most of the flower pistils are still white - is it just the camera that makes them look like that, or are they actually still white?

Normally they would turn brown, which is the reason why I'm asking I don't doubt that they were ready for harvest, they for sure seemed ready!

your absolutely right, most pistil`s you see is still white, them who did turn brown/orange early on is gone now, but I would still say maybe half where brown/orange or gone, if you look closer you can also see how they mature, as the lower part of the cola is mostly all brown pistils wile the top is mostly white, it kind a move its way up

I could possibly have made her go another week or cut her a week before, with not much different in weight, but the smoke would be a bit different, I like mine mature but I also notice that if I let it go to fare, I get a lot of amber instead of cloudy trichome and that just put me to sleep so I like to cut em before that, and with the strength of Skunk to day it all ready good smoke very early on (IMO) I cut as early as day 50 and as late as day 70 (strain is suppose to finish in 60 days) sure you get some weight different between day 50 and day 70 but both still make me high, and its also a matter of time/power used Vs weight gain, in them "extra" 20 day´s I could be almost half way done with the next batch, well harvest window is normally 2 weeks time, and best way to know is looking at trichomes and find out how you like em

here is a picture of the main cola`s about dry, I probably Jar em tomorrow, have a little less then half as much of smaller side shoots and lower flimsy Bud`s in a small box I will use to make oil out of along with the trim

Nice bud development all the way down the stems. Whoever says LEDs can't get the penetration doesn't know what they are talking about.

agree, also according to my light meter (Lumens) the LEDs have about the same penetrations as my old 600W HPS and about 80% of the out put (agin Lumens) to be honest I don't really see any big different from the HPS, maybe 10% less weight, but also less power used and atlest as potent smoke, and just as compact

To boile it down, the LEDs Vs the HPS have both pros and cons, LED use less power to cover the same ground, make a lot less heat and is more stealthy/safe, so if that is something you like its IMO easy to accept 10% less yield (20% more if you compare it to a HPS grow with too high temperatures)

Been some time since I did any updates

My Auto in the Hempy Bucket is done, around day 72 from seed, had a few minor problems in the start with a PH issue and then some nute burns, so could have done better, still look like a Oz maybe so I´ll take it, tho look like I got some sticky work ahead of me




Also got a few LSDs under the light`s



And a few Skunk 1# that have been FIM and getting ready for some main linen and some cloning

Worth the wait brother. Everything is looking superb.

A few pictures of my Skunk 1# in Veg and some LSDs in flowering and a single Sweet tooth Auto



The Skunk 1# at around week 5 of Veg been Topped once and just repotted from a 6,5L to a 18L pot will go in under the LEDs and 12/12 in a week`s time



The LSDs, got 3 going, all past week 5



And the Sweet tooth auto around day 55 so 10-15 days left

Harvest from the above pictures came out close to 250g of them 3 LSDs and about 40g of the Auto, all dried and cured/curing, so close to 300g of 472W LEDs running in 8 weeks time

And the LEDs still running, got them two Skunk 1# under em as well as 6 small LSD clones in 6,5L pot´s (the Skunk 1# is in 18L pot`s and been topped and Mlined)

Are you still growing without CO2 (other than air exchange)?

I don't use Co2 (Im a welder I know what it can do inside a small apartment if the valves fail) all I have and ever had is a normal 6" ventilation to exchanges the air

Can you elaborate???..............you have an active exhaust, so why worry about poisoning???

No I just exhaust the grow room, the "used" air just go in to the rest of the apartment, of course there is ventilation on top of my windows, but its not all thats open and not all the time, specially at winter time, and I don't see any need for my small 3x4 ft LED grow for personal use, if I lived in Colorado or sum thing and grew commercial in a hugh space with HID lights I might, but not with a small LED grow, I would also have to raise temperatures aso, to much work, all I need is to keep myself with smoke
